Auctioneer/Enchantrix problemsFollow

#1 May 11 2009 at 7:06 AM Rating: Decent
Hey I've been a lurker on the sight for quite a while just looking over the advice given etc. I've recently started playing again and my Auctioneer and Enchantrix were out of date so I downloaded the new versions.

I can't for the life of me work out how to use it for disenchanting. I'm sure its simple which just makes it all the more annoying.(blaming the sleep deprevation) Anyway I'm hoping somebody would be able to help me out?

I've set all the setting how I think they should be?
Im not sure if I'm even doing the right thing but basically I'm clicking on the disenchant section clicking seach (as thats the only time the search button isn't grayed out) but nothing seems to happen.
Most of the buttons stay grayed out such as the square 'stop' button.

Anyways any help would be much appriciated :)

It's possible you are doing everything right, but getting no results. If this is the case, you need to completely uninstall Auctioneer, then reinstall. Delete each of the Auctioneer addon's module folders from

\world of warcraft\interface\addons\

as well as saved variable files with the names of the auctioneer modules. You will find these variable files in your

\world of warcraft\WTF\Account\Userid\Realm\Charname\SavedVariables\

directory. After this, a reinstall should fix you up.

Assuming your problem is just procedural, here is my routine:

1. Go to the AH browse tab and press the ">>" button at the top. That scans the entire AH quickly.

2. Click the Search tab at the bottom. Expand the Searchers choice on the left and select Disenchant. On the right you will specify your search criteria. I suggest you put in 50% profit as a start. You can limit it to your current level of enchanting, and put in maybe 15G as your maximum buy. Putting in a minimum profit like 3g can limit you to not buying lowest level mats (although they can still be profitable). Once you are up and running, you may choose to only deal in higher profit per item (a personal choice). Also, if you start to be flooded with lower level mats, you can throttle back on them by raising the minimum profit per item.

Lowering the profit percentage (say 40%) will generate more items. Don't go too low on your profit percentage or you become more susceptible to fluctuating prices.

Name your profile and click save, to save your preferences. This way the next session, everything will be all set.

3. Click the search button on the left, to get a list of what you are going to bid and buy on.

4. Hold CTRL-Shift-Alt to change the purchase button to purchase all, and click it.

5. Press yes to buy each item that pops up. At the end a counter on the top of the ah window will count down to 0. When it reaches 0, go to your mailbox.

6. Use an addon to get all from your mailbox with one click. Set the enchantrix automation option to de everything that is coming in, just by clicking yes as it pops up. Do this by checking "Watch bags for disenchantable items".

7. Take your mats to the AH. Use the Appraiser tab to sell them. Repost any mats where your auction has expired. Use batch posting to sell everything with one click.

8. Profit. Realize that you will be bidding on a lot of items, and losing the bid on most of them. That's ok. An Open All mailbox addon will make that fairly easy.

i assume you have done at least a few scans to get the price lists up to date ? the fast scan depending on your computer may cause problems like being disconnected .

On my mac i know the fast scan never seems to be as accurate as the long standard scan and you do need to scan at least once a day for about a week to be sure the prices get evened out and i know some people that scan twice a day just to be sure their prices are the best they can be.

Thanks Dadanox it was the saved variables that was causing me to have no results, deleted them and everything works now.
And thanks Sandra I know I used to scan daily aswell to try and keep the prices accurate I just wansnt getting any results so was rather lost.
