Just an update for anyone who hasnt noticed the turtle mount has a new animation as of 3.1.2, whenever you press jump while sitting still on the turtle it will hide in its shell for a few seconds then pop back out.

I noticed that last night when i was sitting in Dal. Freaking hillarious. I called several guildies over to see my turtle hide in his shell!

Ah crap - now I ***HAVE*** to spend the time fishing for the @#$% thing. >_<

BTW - anyone catch the dagger fish while fishing for the turtle - was wondering how rare they are?

Nice.

But what caught my eye was the UI.

As Kyrin is, sadly, no longer with us, perhaps someone else who knows add-ons well can tell me what that UI is?

Ooh, yes, please. I'm always on the lookout for low-profile UI options, since I hate having a cluttered screen.

Anyone have a percentage drop rate on the turtle. It seems as though its fairly low as I still haven't been able to get one even after a couple of days of straight fishing.

According to most people it only can be fished up in pools (the nodes or schools of fish) in Northrend and the droprate is somewhere lower than .1% so unless you are really lucky the random number generator is going to bend you over. I have a buttload of casts (200 levels of fishing in pools in Northrend) and still no turtle. I'll get it someday.

Would it be possible to lock this thread?

Kind of sad/depressing when it comes back up.

Ya I rarely check trade and I got shivers when I saw this at the top.

I don't mind one way or the other, if it depresses you then sure, maybe it should be locked. When I see it come up I always think it's kind of nice, kind of like a memorial of sorts.

And I'm sorry for bumping it again.

If you don't mind my asking, what happened?

She died in a car crash a few months back. I think someone got a hold of her family somehow and that's how we found out.
