I am so close now, I just need to buy a fish feast recipe tomorrow when I get another token and then I have done all bar 2 acheivements needed. Of what I have left one is the outland gourmet for which I need one recipe from the cooking daily for. I got all the others within 6 days of doing the quests so not to concerned about this, the drop rate is reported at about 20% so I am happy.

The last one which I am going to have my own QQ about (I'm sure I'm not the first) is Captain Rumsey's Lager. Yes that one. A fishing daily, I have to do a FISHING DAILY to complete a COOKING achievement? I wouldn't mind if the recipe at least had a decent drop rate but it doesn't. Alla states a 2% chance to drop from the reward for fishing dailies. Seriously Blizz what were you smoking when you put that into the Meta for my chef title? Unless I'm missing something I am thinking I am going to be doing fishing dailies forever to get my title and it SUCKS!

I got the recipe for Captain Rumsey's Lager the 5th time I did the fishing daily. It didn't seem that difficult to attain and I would think that you would probably have fishing levelled if you have taken the time to level cooking (really easy to pair the two when levelling using fish to make food). It is annoying that a fishing recipe is needed but maybe they will change it in a later patch the way they changed the need to have learned 165 recipes (all of them) down to only needing 100 to get the title.

The recipe is more likely a 20% drop rate from the fishing reward. The reason Allahazam rates it so low is because it only drops once; once you learn it, it will never drop again.

Yeah even though the lager recipe requires you level your fishing, seriously its not a hard achievement. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would seriously enjoy fishing. After leveling my shaman up to 80, I one day had this thought in my head that I was going to level fishing before any of my alts. And it has turned out to be a fantasic journey. I now strive for my salty title. Which all I need is the fishing tourney to get it (I may never see my title, but its still a dream).

Let me just put this thought out there, the CHEF title is super easy to obtain when you compair it to the other titles. I feel lucky that all it takes is repeated dailies to get it.

I totally feel your pain. I have been doing the Outlands cooking daily's off and on for nearly 2 years now, and I still need one of the recipes. I did light math in my head, and I have probably done the daily nearly 100 times. Still can't get that one recipe.

Ouch!

Guess I was smart/lucky to have simply put in the time back in the day and did the cooking and fishing dailies every day because I'm a tradeskill junky.

Well, look at one possible bright point - if your fishing isn't maxed yet, it will be so you'll be able to do the 3.1 fishing dailies when they hit without issue.
