Mining/herbalism?Follow

I have heard many times that you shouldn't have mining and herbalism on the same char, but after WotLK came out I decided to drop alchemy on my alt, and took up mining instead. I have to say that I'm rather happy with the combination. I started out by just having one tracker enabled at a time, shifting it once in a while, and keeping an eye out for the other type of node, but since I got to lvl 77 and epic flyer, I've been using a really neat macro:

It swaps the two trackers, and I've got it keyed to 'T' so I can easily get to it when I fly around, and by swapping very often I get all the nodes that I pass. Sure, it's more of a bother than only having one tracker up at a time, but the huge amount of mats that you gain more than make up for it IMO.

Has anyone else tried this?

I do the same thing on my death knight, mine is slightly different.

I have mine keybound to my mouse scroll up and it's also bound to my bar as well under = so I just keybound = and mouse scroll up as the secondary.

I make tons of money because of this, I frankly wouldn't have it any other way.

am doing this combo with my new DK and i am enjoying it so far - extra hps from Toughness as well as a self heal from Lifeblood - great combo for a tank class. what i did was put a macro together for Icy Touch - thats the spell i probably use the most with her, every time i cast Icy Touch the tracking gets switched too and its working quite well so far. i also made a second macro for when i'm just running around and not actually fighting much...

I use a similar macro. I used to have it bound to an icon which I clicked on as I flew around. Unfortunately I made the mistake of putting the icon adjacent to my flying mount icon. Naturally I clicked on the wrong icon a few times and died nasty deaths. Now I have it bound to a key.
