Hey there guys and gals. Im a holy pally that currently has Herb and Alch for my trades. Im thinking of getting rid of Alch and trying something else. I origainlly wanted Alch cause I was wasting too much money on potions and flasks, and haven't been able to sell many herbs due to me keeping alot of them to make more stuff.

Im thinking either enchanting or jewerlcrafting. I don't think enchanting would be too bad to level but Im unsure of jewel. I know later on in levels it'll be great to gem my known stuff but is it hard to level. Like I know they can prospect(i thik thats it) ore nodes, would you need mining to do this? Thanks for any input and suggestions.

Mining will get you the stones to prospect, which will make levelling it easier. Both crafts are good as both gems and enchants are in demand at high levels. You can always tout your trade in the major cities offering to enchant people with their own mats to boost it.

Ah okay I gotcha. So either or would be good to get. I was hoping to keep Herbing instead of leveling up mining. Also does either or have a plus side to keeping them. I know Jewelcrafting has some cool rings that they can make and trinkets. Are they worth all the work in the end or are they replaced by other items?

JC has a lot of pluses. You get some nifty JC-only trinkets, 3 prismatic Dragon's Eyes gems with 40% more stats than normal gems, prospecting, and your own daily.

But mining is sorta required for it unless you want to spend thousands of gold leveling it with mats from the AH :-/

Enchanting has self-only ring recipes. Everything else could be bought off the AH or from another enchanter. They also slightly increase the worth of worthless quest drops because the disenchanted mats usually sell for more. Plus, you get to keep herbalism. I personally have enchanting/herbalism.
