Was looking up various enchanting recipes and saw that alot of the nice ones required you to use some type of token or tokens to purchase them. Is there an enchanting daily that I've somehow missed?

Dream Shards are to WotLK what Prismatic Shards were to TBC. All of the enchanting formulas available from the vendor require Dream Shards to purchase, with the exception of +40 stam to bracers which requires Abyss Crystals (WotLK version of Void Crystals from TBC).

This is exactly right. Too buy every recipe, for the completionist like me, it would cost you 144 shards and 4 abyss. Rather large amount but I far prefer this to the old methods of getting recipes.

Yeah, mixed emotion - not sure who has it worse?

JC - buys recipes with daily token meaning one new recipe every 3-6 days depending on recipe

Enchanting - buys with shards - can get all recipes at once but shards worth money

LW - buys with leather and arctic fur - can also get all at once but again, significant cost

Tailoring - only two extra recipes - need time consuming achievements to get them

Cooking - buy with daily tokens but hotdog daily gives two tokens and others have percent chance to give a bonus token

Smithing - ?

Engineering - ?

Random procs like alchemy and inscriptions have it worst.

Then JC IMO.

But, I had no idea you could trade in dream shards for recipes! Only 426 enchanting, but I've sold probably 80 shards so farm from DEing instance blues.

Dream shards are extremely easy to come by.

On my server atm, in a full pug with me being the only enchanter, nobody bothers to ask for any shards at the end of the run. It's usually just the crystal, sometimes people stick to the 1 person (or as close to as possible taking into account gear obtained during run). In a guild run, with me being only one of two enchanters in guild at 450 (back when it was released, missed server first enchanting by 3 points) any heroic or boe blue that drop'd the guildies gave 'em to me to buy recipes and have to do enchants. I got them all fairly quick, running mass heroics. There really not all that bad, dream shards, to me at least, are like candy.

Now the cloak enchants are pissing me off to no end.
