Where do you guys do it?

I would like to get a small stockpile going so I can keep smelting titansteel. I have tons of all the other mats, but I'm always short on eternal fire.

Best suggestion I can make is the flaming area in the south east part of Wintergrasp - go there when your side has control and you'll see what are known as revenants wandering around with the fire elementals - they look like elementals wearing plate armor. The revanats have a 100% chance to drop 1-3 crystallized fire while the normal fire elementals have around a 10% drop rate.

Two minor problems -

1) Its a PvP zone so expect to be ganked - it wont happen all of the time but eventually you'll have someone from the other team who's flying by and decides to nail you for an easy HK.

2) It can be heavily farmed at times - not unusual to see three or four peeps trying to work it and since the spawn rates aren't all that incredibly fast...

Titanium Nodes can have Crystallized Fire in them, and if you're an engineer the Steam Clouds in Sholazaar are Crystallized Air and Fire. Cinder Clouds in Sholazaar and Howling Fjord are pure Crystallized Fire.

Obviously, getting it from Titanium is slow and inefficient and gas clouds are no good to you if you're not an engineer, but that's how I get mine.

Further, there are more of these Fire Revenants' behind Lillehoff where you do the Sons of Hodir dailies.

As Russtle said, they are heavily farmed and both areas are busy with opposing faction, so it can turn into a gank fest.

An easy way to get there is to fly on your mount to the spot where the wrathgate cutscene took place. Then just fly up the side of the mountain alongside there and drop down at the very top. If you do it right, you will be right on the edge of the fire elemental area.

I found this by doing it in reverse, if you ride up there and head toward the edge you leave wintergrasp and can get on your flying mount. It really isn't all that far from Dalaran and, unlike the griffon you get at the flightmaster, you can fly there in a straight line.

They dont have the 100% drop rate like the WG ones do but yes, they are a plan B source.

I transmute eternal Water to Fire once a day. Coincides nicely with my titansteel cooldown.
