Firey weapon EnchantFollow

If I have a the ability to do a firey weapon enchant, what is a fair price to charge for the service without having to provide the mats myself? +40 fire damage seems to be a decent bonus for DPS.

First, Fiery Weapon is a chance on hit enchant, that means that it has a low chance on every hit to add 40 dmg to your normal melee attack for one attack. This proc don't occur more than about 6 times per minute, ~6PPM(not sure about the number). For low levels this can be a great enchant, but for higher levels it is just a waste as you already hit many times more damage. But stil you have levelled up your profession and acuired the pattern. Roughly i would suggest about 10-15g for your efforts. Just my 2 cents. Have a nice day!

Word of caution, if you go onto the trade channel or start trying to spam the general chat channel of a city that you're willing to cast that enchant for cash, people are going to laugh you off of the server.

I'm guessing this is your first character?

Hold off on trying to cast enchants for money until you hit 80 and max out your enchanting skills as there are tons of enchanters out there and people want enchanters that have a boatload of enchants at their fingertips.

Price is pretty standard...

If you supply the mats, it's price of mats +10%. If they supply the mats, it's 10% of the price of mats. Enchantrix will give you that information.

you could even just buy up the mats, make a scroll and sell it in AH. I have an 80 to farm up the shards needed fast, and I buy the other needed mats. If you have a high level toon, farm them. The scrolls will sometimes sell for 100-75G. Good way to make money even if you have to buy all the mats.

For fiery? I find that surprising, though I guess the BoA weapons help explain that.

Actually, it's six PPM. Since it tends to cost so little(or at least it used to, apparently), it's an excellent enchant for folks who are leveling. Oddly enough, the WotLK version(Icebreaker) procs for a little over 3 ppm.

One of the best enchants I had whilst levelling up. I would caution against 10-15 gold. If you want to make money, with clients supplying the materials, I would go for a 5g fixed fee. Not many people will baulk at that and you have to remember that guy has probably just spent a small fortune buying the materials from the AH.

Better to have 3 people pay you 5g than 3 people pay you nothing and walk off.

At this point in time i have never met anyone that has made a real good level of gold from Enchanting unless it is possible at high level ?.

I do make gold from disenchanting though and i only do Enchanting for my own use/guild use as so many are always willing to do it for free on my server if people supply mats , some even pay if they get a skill point so no profit for me there.

I would say you will be lucky if you get a 10% profit on any enchant as you level but things like fiery weapon may sell though to low level characters with loads of gold ?.

Far better to do disenchanting and sell any mats you no longer need to level your enchanting as that is where the real profit is .
