Xpac tailor specsFollow

My tailor alt has been plodding along and finally got high enough to get the recipes for the xpac version of shadow/spell/moon.

Checked the FAQ at the top and couldn't find updates so some questions -

1) Are the CDs for all three cloths shared or independent?

2) Can you spec, if so, how (or does it work off of your old spec - the toon is a lock so he took shadow)?

3) Any current recipes that would warrant speccing, any future recipes that would warrant it?

4) Is it worth skilling off of making the cloth and if so, which type is popular/useful?

5) Anything that I missed but might not be aware of (no such thing as being too helpful)?

1) Independent.

2) The BC specializations carry over.

3) Class/Server Economy dependent answers. For your lock, staying shadow specced might be the way to go. The ebonweave epics are nice since they have some great +hit stats. 22 slot bags require moonshroud & ebonweave.

4) The cool downs are every 4 days. If you are not in a hurry to level the skill, then yes it's worth it to get the few skill points. Also, the ebonweave and spellweave transmute locations are now easier to get to for lower level toons making it easier to get more skill ups.

The shadoweave specialization produces ebonweave. On my server this would be good for you as the eternals needed are shadow. Eternal Shadows sell for about 5 on my server, lifes (for moonshroud) 6-8X more expensive, fire (for spellweave) about 5-6X more expensive.

Ebonweave & Moonshroud sell for the same. Spellweave sells for less. Net profit favors ebonweave.

5) Probably. With the patch, leveling tailoring is cheaper & easier. Good for alts.
