I apologize in advance for the stupid question. My enchanter has lain dormant since patch 2.3 or whenever it was that we could put enchants on scrolls. I'm now leveling his skills, if not him. Where can I purchase the vellum on which one can write 375+ enchants?

The AH. Just make sure you buy the right vellum's for the level of the enchant. Weapon and Armor vellum's show the level of the item that can receive the enchant.

You need tier III vellum for WotLK enchants. It's pricy from AH...assuming you used Vellum to skill from 375 -> 450 and got a skillup from every enchant, on my realm it would cost you 750-1500g for Vellum alone.

Thanks, I'll go investigate prices and see if it's worth it.

Edit: I am happy to report the vellum is selling for roughly 6g on Icecrown.

Nice, the III's are going for 20-25g each on mine. (Fortunately, I'm a seller, not a buyer).

I used some vellum to help my enchanter get up to 440(after that I did it for profit not skill ups)

What I did is just had an Scripe link me their trade and bought the mats and had them make them for me. After all said and done i think it cost 25g for a stack of 20. Saved me money and I really didnt even use many. I think I still have about 10 left and that was 4 weeks ago or so.

Wow thanks for this question as it just gave me an idea of how to skill up my enchanting without wasting mats on myself.

I've got one alt that's able to make Armor Vellum III and it's such an amazing (and welcome) departure from the old options for leveling enchanting. I spent some time on my enchanting alt this weekend working up her skill, and it was nice to actually bank the enchants for future use or sale. Enchanting is one profession I refuse to try and power level, but I'm getting Northrend greens all the time and my other alts are also producing them in fairly large quantities while leveling their professions. I just mail everything to my enchanter, spend some time once or twice a week clearing out my mailbox and D/Eing them, and bank the mats. When I've got a ton on hand and the urge strikes, I just grab all my mats and vellum from the bank and park myself in front of the enchanting trainer.
