Mechanicals to salvage......Follow
My rogue is an engineer, and I was delighted to see all the robots that you could scavenge with your mining skill after killing them in Borean Tundra. I was wondering if there are any other areas like this in Northrend. Anyone seen any?
In numerous dungeons you will find robots you can scavenge, as well I remember a few being in Howling Fjord. There are probably more, I just haven't really been paying attention. Also its not your mining skill that allows you to scavenge the robots, its a new engineering thing I believe (I have engineering and leatherworking and can scavenge just fine).
You are correct, it's engineering. When you mouse over the corpse, it says engineering, not mining. Thanks for the clarification.
Apart from the mechagnome spot in Borean Tundra, there are a couple of places in Sholazar (inside the Titan buildings) and a few more spots outside Ulduar. I can't actually think of any others off the top of my head. While the results of scavenging fallen mechanicals are usually rather underwhelming, I did find that I had almost all the bolts I needed for my Chopper by the time I was ready to build it :p
