Mining Node Respawn?Follow

Doing the Armor Quest,I'm mining for 100 Mithril. Everywhere I go, Gatherer shows dark circles at the Mithril Nodes, signifying they have been recently mined and are not active.
This has occurred in 3 seperate zones, in early morning, afternoon, and late night runs. I realize there are many Miners and only so many nodes but, comeon!
Can anyone tell me what the respawn times are for these Mining Nodes? Thanks

I find it depends a little on what area nodes are in for how long they take to respawn although i have never timed them .

The best area i found for Mithril was Tanaris but everyone seems to know that , it means running round and round the outer area which can be very boring and if you do not find any nodes just keep running as fast as you can and you should catch up/spot whoever is mining there and if you get in front of them it should be fairly easy to get at least some ore , i have done mining twice there and it all depends on catching it at the right time and with some luck getting a run or two around the outside without any competition but that is not easy , and the nodes should re-spawn by the time you have done a full circle or at least seemed to just about re-spawn for me as i completed a full circle .

I hope this helps a little and if you get a good run there you should get about 20 ore at least each circle you do if there is no competition.

Thanks for the info, Sandralover. I.m trying Tanaris now. I had been in Arathi, Stonetalon and Desolace. I started the quest at Lvl 40 Warrior. I'm now half way through Lvl 42. Tanaris may be too tough but I'll give it a shot.

Don't forget to go into the bugs caves as well (if you're high enough in level to survive them). There's usually one or two nodes in there.

Now I could be wrong, I haven't been using Gatherer for very long. If you have downloaded the Data base you're screen should be filled with nodes. If they are darkened it doesn't mean they have actually RECENTLY been mined, just that someone has mined that location before. They will become brighter on your screen after you mine them showing you that you have found a node in that location. At least thats how it has been for me in Northrend with Cobalt and Saronite nodes.

There are dozens of nodes i've found that aren't there even when I know for a fact that someone else hasnt been around to mine them. So I would guess that there is still a randomness to it.

To Oatman i did not know your level but at 42 you should just about be able to manage around the edges of Tanaris but it will be a slow run , i have done it on a level 40 hunter and there are only a few spots where the mobs will gang up on you which could be a problem with having a ghost run afterwards and yup i found that out for myself a few times.

At worst if i remember right the mobs will be about level 45-46 but at least all the nodes are around the edge so gatherer is not needed to find nodes there.

I don't know, Githiun. Here's what I get; If I find a mining node and mine it an Icon permanently appears on my large map, color coded according to ore type(copper for copper, white for Mithral, etc.). These Icons also appear in the mini-map but, as I approach them, they change to either a bright dot if its minable or a darkened dot if the node is not there. I'm assuming this means it has recently been mined and has not re-spawned.
