i'm currently 430/450 in alchemy and i've made some pots, xmutes and elixirs but have not had any "procs" on xmutes (i'm an xmute master, if it still matters...)
i've not discovered any new skills...
1) does Discovery comes about only through the Northrend Research or do i have to make more pots/elixirs?
2) any xmute masters or potions/elixirs seen their "procs" recently?

As far as I know, you can only discover new Northrend recipes through the research, and you discover new transmutes by doing Northrend transmutes (starting with titanium if I recall correctly).
My pally was an elixir master before I dropped alchemy for jewelcrafting and I did see a few procs, but it seemed like rather fewer than I'd had doing TBC elixirs.
