Alchemy + new PvP servers = gold?Follow

I recently rolled a tauren warrior on Blood Furnace, and took up herb/alch as my professions... My question is, what sells best on PvP servers? I know that swiftness potions are supposed to do well, but beyond that I'm clueless. It probably doesn't help much that the server is really new (it was opened with the release of TBC), so the prices aren't quite where they should be...

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Generally swiftness pots and free action pots sell well... in addition to that... I rarely ever put healing or mana pots up that don't sell (if priced reasonably). You may be able to find a market for other things like agi/str elixirs, stoneshield pots, etc... as you level. I can't really comment on that because I leveled alch 1-300 after I purchased my epic mount at 60. I didn't really spend much time at the low end selling pots - but like I said I do always put my lower level healing/mana pots on the AH when I find them (say by running SM or something like that for gold).

Pre-BC, while guilds were raiding, you could sell pretty much any and every major high end pot without a problem. Mongoose, giants, major hp/mana, all sorts of resistance pots, etc... I suspect it'll be the same way at level 70 when you get there (though I have been mostly creating pots for my own use - not selling many currently). While you wont be pulling in huge amouts of gold selling a few pots, it's very hard to saturate the market, and there is a constant demand which is very nice.

Also try frost oil. On my server, it goes for far more than the herbs (4 khargar's whiskers and 2 wintersbites). I believe the oil is mid level alchemy. The recipe is rare but sold by a vendor. I believe it cost something like 20s only. You'd never lose by buying the recipe and giving a go at selling the oil on the AH. Like the other posters say, don't bother with healing and mana potions. The herb sells for more than the potion. By the way, you don't have to sell alchemy produce, you always have the herbs to sell as herb/alch.

Troll's blood, that sold well for my mage, when i used to play him on a pvp server. aswell as the already mentioned swiftness/free action pots.

brand new servers are an entirely different animal. the faps and swiftness pots usually are big sellers but only on wsg weekends. it was usually the twinks and the 60's buying them up. and two things brand new servers lack are twinks and 60's.

imo, level up alchemy if you like but use the pots to make up for the gear differential, because good gear drops either stay in guild or get snatched up very quickly from the ah.

nobody's going to have spare gold to blow on consumables on a brand new server.
