typ "tin vein" in the search feature left of this screen and you will find:

look at spawn points and your current situation, best is to lvl while you are mining right?

Good luck on those tin veins

Duskwood.

South edge of zone run the Mt's edge and in the few caves that are there (Ogre, wolf guys..etc). At 125 head north to Arathi Highlands, I've found a lot of iron there.

Southern Barrens, and also Thousand Needles has tin nodes.

yeah, I was going to mention Thousand Needles, lotta tin there, lotta lvl 28-32 mobs as well, but usually spaced out enough to be manageable at lvl 29. Watch out for the centaur villages and harpies. And if you're down there make your way to shimmering flats at the south end of 1K. The entire area is ringed by a low cliff that a. has a lot (maybe 10-12) of tin and iron nodes and b. is high enough to keep you from drawing aggro. I run through there at least once a week if not more. And if you're feeling greedy, keep an eye skinned for an elite basilisk named Ironeye. He pats the south end. If u can take him (lvl 37+) he usually drops a sword that goes for btwn 60-80g on AH. It's a nasty fight at your level. Take care you don't accidentally run into the silithid hive! Those are some cranky bugs. I'm reading my post and thinking "Dude, you should write travel brochures!" :p

Thanks for your replaies. If this helps, i forgot to mention that im a really well equipped hunter that can handle up to lv 35 mobs without potions or dying. I went to 1k needles but i was finding mostly iron. I got my mining at 108. Do you think it would be a good idea to just buy enough tin to get myself to 125 and start mining iron at 1k needles?

I didn't see whether you are alliance or horde, but there are a few good spots in Wetlands also.

I guess it depends on your financial situation. You need 125 to mine iron. You'll spend a TON of money on tin ore trying to raise your skills simply by smelting tin. At least on my server, tin ore goes for 2g-3g a stack. It will go quicker if you did the same and smelted bronze bars but I'd never spend that much gold when there's tin in (relatively) accessible places. Loch Modan also has some tin over in the ogre camp to the east. Mine tin, mine copper, make bronze bars, you'll get there in no time. Also, you'll be in great shape financially.

Is your smelting ability orange, yellow, or green? In most cases (with the exceptions of copper and a brief few skillups off gold ore), the smelting ability is gray to you as soon you learn it.

You won't be able to smelt enough tin ore to get to 125 mining- it goes grey far sooner. You canget closer smelting silver but that is much more expensive. Best bet is to keep farming tin nodes - you will get skillups from mining long after the ore has gone grey from smelting.

My bad, i forgot to mention that im Horde on Thunderhorn server. I got so much copper ore that is not even funny anymore. I sold 200 copper ore and i still have about 250 more in my bank. I lvd up my mining with copper to close to a hundred in probably about 1 hour, but i having so much problem finding tin. I guess i'll have to keep looking around.

That being said I would go with the others and suggest 1K, also north barrens near the harpys, there are also some throughout Stonetalon, all the way up to Stonetalon Peak, and even inside the Peak around the edges, just don't get too close to the Alliance encampment.

I was using my 29 twink to farm tin in the Deadmines. Works better if you are alliance, but could work for a horde who is tanacious.

There are 2-3 nodes outside the instance and usualy 2-4 nodes inside the instance before the goblin mast room. At 29 it is very easy to clear the instance.
