If your thinking about making armor as a BS, being a leatherworker would be best for a hunter, seeing as you can make mail at lvl 225 lw. And you are able to wear mail at lvl 40 and the dragonscale armor is lvl 45+ so thats good.

I've used BS on 2 hunters now. and it seems to be a decent money maker.

You can make Dawn's Edge which is probably one of the best 1h axes out there for a hutner to duel wield. And some of the new epics that you can make are pretty nice also.

It just depends what you want to do with your time

Kill skin-kill-skin or run around tapping veins

BS on a hunter is only usefull for the money, which require a big investment and work. Don't use it as a profession to equip yourself.

True, there are a few post-40 mail items in there that you can use, as well as certain weapons, but all of these are boe, so you can have another BS make them for you.

I dont know, I always thought the BS anti fear trinket was not uselsess, even for a hunter.

The hunter's pvp trinket does the same thing.

my hunter started as a BS, ended as a lvl 300 swordsmith actually. It made some really nice money at the time. I later took up engineering for its various nicknacks and to help raid progression in my guild (repair bots, jumper cables, etc) I kind of want to take BS back up again for the profit (if there is still some there) but im sticking with engineering this time.

As for gearing your hunter with a profession, LeatherWorking (namely dragonscale) is hands down your best bet for being able to use most of what you make (and its some good gear too). The other advantage is you would also choose skinning with leatherworking and that way you dont need to use your tracking slot for minerals or herbs and there are always plenty of mobs to skin.

*edit* sorry sorry, was thinking of the rogue one, which isnt as strong but does work in the fear dept., and one person making a correction is sufficient.

Actually not so much...

Hunters Insignia of the Horde

However, I concur otherwise. I'm a DScale LW on my hunter, and would direct you to the newer BOP dragonscale craftables. Notably the Ebon Netherscale set. Hands down awesome gear. Mats are a bit of a pain, as is getting to 375. However. Blacksmithing can net you some weapons, but Leatherworking and later Dragonscale Leatherworking will net you some armour as you level and some viable max level gear even after you start raiding.

Um, yes, its worth it, as the hunters can make their own armor now too, aswell as pallies/warriors/shaman

Woud you please link the armor that armorsmithing makes that is relevent to shaman/hunters? High end armorsmihing gerneraly makes plate. that is minus stuff like Invunrable Mail. I know that leatherworking now makes some nice Mail at the end.

As for making money with a blacksmith for a hunter, you'd most likely be better off selling the ore you mine than crafting+selling items.

Bs Is a total waste for hunters, I wouldn't recommend it, but you could try it and give it ago.
