blacksmithing questionFollow

I am currently at level 340 armorsmithing and I was about to make my own set of adamantite breastplate,bracers and gloves. Today i just happened to notice that there are some cool axes that can be made by a master axesmith that i would like to acquire (im orc and i like axes). I was just wondering if after i got to 375 armorsmithing and then i wanted to switch to weaponsmithing, am I going to have to level to 375 again?

I just switched from swordsmith back to armorsmith. Had to pay 100g to drop swordsmithing and 10g to drop weaponsmith. Then you CAN get the armorsmith quest BUT you don't want to. Just speak to the NPC near the anvil in Orgrimarr (if ur horde) and you can say something like "I was a weaponsmith before can you make me an armorsmith now"... and *boom* you're an armorsmith. Too bad i already bought all the mithril and steel to prepare for those quests. Good thing: it saves me a lot of time.. bad thing: i'm missing some <60 plans.
Should work the other way around as well and no.. you don't lose skills.
