I have found my Zapthrottle Mote Extractor to be of INSANE value. Motes are of great value right now.

Power Amplification Goggles Made me very happy, for the first time in a long time i get the sweeet goggle action back

Steam Tonk Controller: this blew my mind, and used up those tickets i had no use for.

Mana Potion Injector: My mage may like this more than my lock, wish i got the Health potion injector.... either way a space saver and a way to level the trade

Nigh-Invulnerability Belt: this has proved to be one of the best items as of yet. it is like a free VW sac.... but you do not loose your pet, HELLFIRE AWAY

And while I do not have them yet

Gnomish Power Goggles
Binds when picked up
Head Cloth
132 Armor
+21 Intellect
Durability 60 / 60
Requires Engineering (375)
Requires Gnomish Engineer
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 59.
Equip: Increases your spell critical strike rating by 28.

Theese will be Super Fun, and it is not that far away .

Thats only the stuff I have found....

How does that work? I mean, I read the description but not sure what it means.

There's certainly some room for improvement and you'll be glad to know that Blizzard has indicated they are looking at that.

Quote:
There has been a lot of discussion on the forums lately about the utility of various trade skills and how people feel they should be working. Much of the feedback we have received points to trade skills needing a little work and some better utility for those that choose to take them up. While we can't give you specifics on what is planned or even dates on when players can expect change, we wanted to let everyone know that all trade skills are being looked at and will be revamped over time. Engineering will be the first on the list, but all trade skills are being closely looked at and player feedback is a welcome part of that process.

Having said that, I personally think a number of engineering items will be useful.

The Zapthrottle Mote Extractor is basically free motes. Life and Shadow isn't worth much now, but once raiding starts in earnest the demand will increase (for Major Protection potions). Mana sells for good cash so far.

Adamantite Scope and Khorium scope are obvious money-makers.

Adamantite Frame is used in a quest so may sell for good money.

The Area 52 / Toshley Station transporters are a second hearth, always handy in my opinion.

Also remember that your trainer offers 2 epic headpiece item schematics and some other schematics which may be useful to you. Personally I expect to be using the Rocket Launcher as 45 Stamina on a trinket and an extra burst damage option is excellent for my Warlock.

You may have noticed floating gas clouds in Zangarmarsh. An engineer standing close to one of those can use the Zapthrottle (from bag, it's not an equipped item) which does a short channelling action and harvests the cloud for typically 3 motes. The type of mote depends on where you are using the Zap.

Zangarmarsh - Mote of Life
Shadowmoon - Mote of Shadow
Netherstorm - Mote of Mana

Now that I did not know. I noticed the swirly gas but I did not know they were "harvestable" by any means. I thought at most they were for a quest.

How do I learn those schematics??? I am at 350 engineering and they do not teach any nifty ones at all. Maybe I have to be 375 for those awesome trinkets?

They are from your specialisation trainer, so for a Goblin engineer you get them in Gadgetzan, Tanaris.

I dont know why but ever since the first time the trainer has never been in tanaris for me (the goblin one) I had to renew my membership card inratchet, and that guy offered me new recipes. When I went to the one in gagdet he didnt offer me anything (as in no option to see wqhat he could train)
