Picking Ancient Lichen for ArmorFollow

#1 Feb 02 2007 at 6:25 AM Rating: Decent
I ran the Auchenai Crypts last night with some guildmates and shared herb-picking duties with the shaman. He picked an Ancient Lichen, and received Ancient Lichen, Mote of Life, and a random level 57 green armor item. I don't even remember what it was, but that was first we'd heard of that occurring. Anyone else seen this happen?

Yeah, last week I had the same thing, rolled for the herbs in Underbog, and the other guy got a green ring in an Ancient Lichen.

Ditto in Slave Pens. I was the only herbalist so I was shift-picking the herbs as we exposed them. Received a L57 green ring (old school ring, not an uber Outlands ring) with my herbs. I figure someone just tossed the useless thing into the bushes rather than be bothered schlepping it to a vendor (because we all know a ring is the same weight and volume of a dragon's head, or barrel of beer, or sheet of paper...and we only have one finger on each hand).

TBC actually has niceties for herbalists. Herbs that give a health regen when picked, those weeds that give you a bubble when used, motes of life and unidentified plant parts, "skinnable" vegetable giants, and so forth.

Lol, just came out of a manatombs run where I got a ring in an ancient Lichen.
I don't run instances a lot till I'm 70, so I guess I saw about 20 Ancient Lichen get picked, 2 of them had rings. Seems to be a decent percentage, though it's from hideously little statistical data of course.
