Okay now I can max my cooking out to 300. Right now I'm about 235 and I plan to to make giant omelets until I stop getting skill. As a level 57 rogue, what recipes should I get that will help me reach 300, will be useful for myself (any +agil buffs for example?), and recipe items come from monsters that are my level so I can grind them for exp also.

Thanks

You could use the search tool.

I suggest checking the auction house.

(I have an extreamly low level cooking skill. Guess its cuz I can conjure my food...)

I think the recipe you need is tender wolf steak

http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=18045

this should take you to 300+ (although green at about 280-290)

If you have fishing, many of the higher level fish cooking recipes range from 225 cooking skill up to 300 cooking skill.

Go look at "Trade Skills" - "By Trade" and pick "cooking" and you can see a list of all the known recipes and their ingredients and if you click on the <recipe> you can find out if it's a drop or where to buy it.

I think I used Baked Salmon but I believe you could also use Lobster stew or Mightfish steak, but all of those require a relatively high fishing skill. Maybe also Undermine clam chowder I think that is cooking skill 265, I don't know when it turns green.

Do you fish?

I think you can make the Yellowtail to 300 or close to it plus you'll catch a decent amount of winter squid for agi food and more skill ups.

I dont recall skill requirements but pretty sure you can make them now or very close to being able to.

Fishing is definitely an excellent way of getting cookable food. Tender Wolf Meat and White Spider Meat are also good and easily gathered.

From 290 up to 330 or so is easily done on Runn Tunn Tubers and Sandworm Meat.

If you aren't eating the food, why bother levelling cooking? I just cook whatever meat I have, and look at this site to find where to buy the recipe. Not terribly efficient money wise, but satisfy my stomach none the less.

Actually, you can get the cooking quest to get your skill max up to 300 at level 35. At that low level you will probably have to buy the eggs in the AH and possibly the clam meat as well.

The Alterac Swiss is actually quite easy to get. The innkeeper in Thunder Bluff sells it as well as many other venders in easy to reach areas.

The quest giver won't give the quest until you are at 225, though. Must be 225, anything lower and he has nothing to offer you.
