Easy money and xp for lower lvlsFollow

#1 Jan 19 2007 at 12:37 AM Rating: Decent
For all those lower levels who are struggling for some gold( and by lower lvls I mean 16 - 24ish) probably the best way to make some gold is to skin.

when you get the skinning skill go to Dun Morogh and the Wendigo cave there you can just walk through it a few times killing wendigos, looting and skinning, or you can follow a lower level through helping them kill the Wendigos then Skinning them.

Once you are about skinning lvl 50 - 60 you should go to Westfall and look around for the lower lvl Goretusks (lvl 12 - 13) and Coyotes (lvl 10) after getting your skinning up to around 70 - 75 go looking for the Greater Goretusks (lvl 16+), If you want now you can get the next lvl of Skinning.

Once you are up too lvl 70+ head to Redridge where you will be able to skin the Greater Goretusks which are around the Gryphon’s and near where Bellygrub is, at about lvl 80 you should be able skin the Tiny Black Whelplings.

Now that you have all this Light Leather, Medium leather and Hides, you might be wondering what should I do with all this? Well you have two choices, you could get the Leatherworking skill and make items with this however this takes time and leather to start making gold. The other choice you have is to simply sell it on the Auction House, prices will vary depending on the server however I usually sell the Light Leather for 70s a stack and the Medium Leather for about 50s a stack.

So there you have it an extremely easy way to make some gold while you lvl up. This gold should help you upgrade your gear for a few lvls and you should be able to get up a few lvls from doing this. Have Fun!

This is sound advice but rather tightly focused. There are many other ways to make gold as a low level character such as combining skinning with herbalism or mining and selling everything on the AH, fishing, certain crafting recipes, or even daytrading. Some of the regular posters here have written very thorough guides covering these and other options. Expand your horizons for more income. :)

Here's another one that is good, at least for now...

Copper.

So many folks seem to be jumping on Jewelcrafting now, and the first materials needed are copper bars...

Went to the Auction house to pick up easy copper bars... saw 4 bars for 60+ silver pieces.

HOLY FREAKIN COW... Luckily i had a miner with a mount and ran around and picked up 80 copper ore and smelted... saved a BUNCH doing that...

It was funny, saw a 55 player out in goldshire mining copper to, lol. Felt good not to be the only one.

Just get a gathering profession to get seed money (5-10g is preferable, but you can start with as little as 1g) for day trading. I think you could make a couple hundred gold by level 25 doing that.

I know that it is a bit focused but, I felt that because you get xp as well for skinning that it was worth posting this, so you don't have to be either levelling or making money, with Skinning you can both gain good xp because and lvl your skinning up, and the good thing about it is the animals you skin to go up in skinning will be animals at about your level.

/agreed. That (and the fact that you can't track herbs and mines at the same time) is why most of the dual gatherers have skinning as one of the professions. However, I tend to level through questing. Skinning is still nice, but not as handy as it would be if you plan to level mostly through grinding.

Usually 2 skills like mining or skinning or hebalism is the money maker, instead of a processing skills like leatherworking or blacksmithing.
