Herbalism Stuck at 100Follow

#1 Dec 20 2006 at 9:38 PM Rating: Decent
I've gotten to journeyman herbalist which should allow me to train to 150. But I've been stuck on 100 for awhile now. Even when I gather briarthorn or strangekelp which I'm pretty sure should give me a level. In fact, strangekelp is the highest level herb I can gather right now so if I don't gain a level from it, I'll never get any higher. I've tried going back to the herbalism trainer but that didn't do any good. I'm not sure what's wrong. My character is level 15. Would that matter? Thanks for any help.

Yes. To get to the next training level in Herbalism, you need to get to level 20.

Thanks. I just discovered that I have the same problem with alchemy, so it's good to know what's causing it.

Are you still on a trial account? I think skills are capped for trial accounts. Otherwise, you should be able to get to a skill of 125 before you have to train further.

The following restrictions are placed on all trial accounts:

  • A level cap of 20.
  • A maximum of 10 gold.
  • Trade skills are capped at 100 ranks.
  • Inability to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player-to-player.
  • In-game chat channels will be unavailable.
  • A limit on the number of tells that can be sent.
  • Realms with login queues will give priority to customers with retail accounts.

These restrictions are only in place during the trial period. Players who decide to upgrade their accounts will be able to continue adventuring with the same characters and take full advantage of all features included in the retail version of the game.

I am still on a trial account. I'm supposed to be getting the game for Christmas though. I guess I should just work on leveling my alternate characters in the meantime. Thanks tons for the help.

Thanks. I’d never read that before. I started with a full account on day one. I practically snatched the game box from the cashier’s hands. *grins*

I can understand that. The store that I've pre-ordered from will be getting 20 collector's editions of TBC to distribute on a "first come, first served" basis. I plan on camping there before they open. Naturally, I won't give out the name of the store, for fear of a premptive strike.

You can't pre-order the CE? Sounds nasty.

But yeah, I remember waiting in front of the store for them to open the day the game came out. They opened 3 minutes late :(

Every place I've tried to pre-order the CE from has been sold out since a few hours after it was announced. When I went into this store and saw "Pre-order - Regular or Collector's Edition!", I asked and was told what's up. Hopefully I'll be in time...
