Tailoring vs LeatherworkingFollow

#1 Apr 30 2005 at 11:31 AM Rating: Decent
both proffesions make armor, it seems they make about the same money, but which is BETTER?

i kno if ur a mage or warlock its Tailoring and if ur anything else its Leatherworking, but are the armor stats on either really BETTER?

Plz tell me, i have 1 with each proffession and am wondering which to make money and stuff with.

Thx

PS is there a supporting proffessiopn for tailoring, or does it stand alone?

tailoring stands alone, most people go tailoring/enchanting.

if you are simply looking for money making (unless you are above 40) just go with skining/mining and AH what ya get. Thats the BEST money maker.

if you ARE above 40, go for anything ya want, all the money making items in WOW are the items that require a 285+ skill (only obtainable if you are lvl 40+)

The skills are mostly balanced.
Tailoring is mainly good for containers and other valuables.
Leatherworker has armor kit, quiver, and ammo pouch and other valuables

(If you choose LW, get skinning)

i have to disagree with any tradeskill being better if your character can use the items. Tradeskills are used for two things, pvp and money. Engneering for pvp everything else for money. Just choose whichever you want to do, my warlock is a leatherworker, surprises most, but i've found it to be a very good money maker (my current favourite is duskshroud and helms of fire :P)
