Best guide I've found, albeit disorganized a bit:

The Herbalism/Alchemy thread (tm): http://wow.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=69&mid=110367074252647014&num=84

Man, if you can't read that, it's just sad. I found your reply very low, and annoying. It took me all of 10 seconds to dredge up the proper link; my goodness, it's on the second page. Here's another one:

This one isn't as good, in my opinion. But here's another. This has all the alchemy information you need. If this doesn't work, try the Trade Skills "By Trade" on the left.

Grrrr...

Here we go...

Making items depends on two factors:

1. What gives the best skill ups (orange always gives a skill point, yellow usually, and green sometimes-rarely; grey never does).
2. What herbs you have available (this will vary with your level).

I don't mean to sound condescending, but alchemy is a very ongoing process, albeit a pretty easy one. In truth, there's no reason to rush through it; for one thing, you can't get above 225 until until you're at least level 40. Second, you can't make high-end potions until (gasp!) you're a high level. Why? Because you can't find the herbs. By the time I was level 40 or so, I needed Sungrass terribly for my potions. By the time I was 50, Sungrass was a weed; it was everywhere, and next to worthless. These pages keep that in mind: you don't need us to hold your hand, just to point you in the right direction. You need herbs to make potions; these tell you where herbs are. To get the recipes? Go to the AH or a trainer. What you should make depends on the two things I've listed above.

Also, few people will tell you what to make 1-75... because everything you'll want is in your faction's zones. There's no risk of dying by gankers, and all the potions are really easy to make.

Could some1 tell me why all my potions in the alchemy bar are displayed brawn and when I start making potions I dont level up my alchemy skill? That is not only my problem.A friend of mine has the same problem. Is this because of the honor sistem patch, couse as far as I remember this thing is like this from exactly that long.If some1 has the same problem pls post your uncool expirience with that thing. And if there is something that perhaps I have to do before I can make potions again and resieve EXP for it(like buy a book or train somewhere-that sort of things)pls give me directions. Thanks in advance.

P.S.-I am currently 243 lvl in alchemy and 299 in herbalism.

Since the patch, some people on some servers have had problems gaining skill. Send a GM note in.

Wakawaka - The post talks about much more than just ghost mushrooms. Try reading through ALL of it. Very few guides are written about the first 100 skill points of any profession because they are easy to acquire at almost any level just by going about your everyday questing and levelling. If you don't find what you want, search. If nothing comes up, THEN ask. There are tons of posts on this forum about alchemy and herbalism. If you want me to hold your hand and walk you through it, I'm sorry, I don't have time for that.

Walk around and pick herbs. Use those herbs to make potions. Repeat! That's what we all do...
