Enchanting gloves for gathering professionsFollow

Hi

I've been working up my enchanting lvls, I'm 230 and now it's getting interesting :)

I've been offereing my services for +5 mining and +5 tanning etc and people have been asking me what difference it makes. I just say that it gives them + 5 bonus (duh!) but I'm wondering what difference it actually makes. Are there things you can collect with + 5 mining that you can't get without it? Or are these kinds of enchantements just a bit of a waste of time? People keep telling me they make no difference, but why would it be available if it did nothing??

What do you think?

I can see how it would be nice if you couldn't gather a certain material yet without them. Like lets say you need whatever level mining to mine iron but you don't have it yet then you get +5 to mining and you can mine it. I don't think they are all that good though and once you are at 300 I can't really see a reason for it except fishing because there are fish that have higher levels than 300.

you need 305 Skinning to skin things in UBRS.

Actually with the +5 mining you can mine Truesilver without training to Artisan Miner (225), a rather useless thing but it could save you the 5g training fee. For a while.....

... and then again there is the fact that the skill in gathering determines the amount of ressources you get from a vein/corpse. So if you have 305 in skinning the chance to get 2* rugged leather from a pterowhatever in Un'Goro is considerably higher. This is an assumtion based on extraction of knowledge from my impressions as a skinner who leveled his skinning two times to 300 with one character.
