Rogue - Profession... Need some adviseFollow

#1 Apr 24 2005 at 12:10 PM Rating: Decent
Good weekend to you all. I am trying to decide the best route for me rogue when it comes to his professions without overlapping my other tow characters. Here is a brief idea of each character and its profession.

#1. Gnome Mage (Main)
- Tailoring
- Enchanting

#2. Gnome Warrior (Alt)
- Mining
- Engineering

#3. Gnome Rogue (Alt)
Option A
- Mining
- Skinning

Option B
- Mining
- Herbalism

Option C
- Herbalism
- Alchemy

Now the idea behind the Rogue at first was to become a gatherer for my other 2 characters because of his stealth and the ability to knock out some good damage over time in certain areas that could be a death trap for my mage. What I am trying to figure out is what the best overall is for a Rogue.

Have you Thought of Option D ?

Option D
-herbalism
-skinning

That way you have the Fadeleaf for blinding poweder and skinning for money. Option B would be tough... swiching between herbs and ore Detecion could make a mess, the other short side is their are so menny diffrent types of ore and herbs, collecing them both will fill up you invintory fast, if you pick on or the other (mining/herbalism) and skinning, yo will save space since usualy their are only 2 diffrent drops(minus hides) in any one zone (as oposed to 3 or 4 diffrent types of ore in a zone and 4-5 diffrent types of herb in a zone) so going mining/herb will take up a lot of bag slots for your gathering.

Optiong A is probly the best in your situation, the Copper you initaly gather will sell Ok on the AH and generate some inital income, and later you will be able to feed your main stuff like Mith or gems that are needed for Engineering, or just sell the stuff. Skinning is just good money no matter how you look at it, as well menny a Tailor and Engineering stuff requires leather.

So my 2 cents are ..... in order of how I would do it

Option A
Option C
Option D

I would not ever chose B, A seems the best, C is a good plan, D could work out just fine.
