Blacksmithing/Mining questionsFollow

Okay, I got a few things on my mind and I'd be thankful if anyone could help me a bit...

MINING:

My mining is around 240 and I need mithril, a lot of it. The thing is that I haven't really found a good place to get it yet. I have found it in a few zones and so far the best far for me has been Desolace. I have heard people saying that Alterac is good but when I checked it out, it seemed pretty poor to me. Anyway, help here would be appreciated.

BLACKSMITHING:

My blacksmithing is around lv230 and I'm currently taking the blacksmithing quest. I'm raising my bsmithing level at best of my abilities and it's eating a lot of my money. That's why I'd like to ask two things:

1) What is the best item I should be making which is EASY TO MAKE and is red for me. In other words, the best item to raise my bsmithing level. You can tell some higher ones as well.

2) What is the best item which sells in AH or sells in general. I have heard people saying that bsmithing is profitable but it hasn't been profitable at all for me. For now, Green Iron Hauberk has been the best selling item for me, I suppose. I don't get skill level from it but at least it sells for 4-6G. I have tried to do some other stuff such as Blue Glittering Axe. They are worth more but hardly ever sell. Anyway, I'd like to know some good items which I should make when I want profit, NOT skill level.

Thanks if anyone is able to help.

Hit Tanaris for mithril. You can circle the zone going along the foothills and get about 20 ore or so a round. That's the zone I mined exclusively to finish my armorsmith quest.

You say you are doing the blacksmithing quest but you didn't specify which route. So it's tough to say, but generally anything that will give you skill ups with minimal resources is best to level up. This changes quickly obviously, so there isn't any one thing to make. As far as making a profit, well I can't help you there. I haven't made much of anything off mine yet.
