Disenchant TipsFollow

Why does it seem that no one uses tailoring, blacksmithing or any other item (Green, Blue, Purple) creation professions to make stuff to disenchant? It really cost you no money if anything it nets you a good bit if you sell the reagents rather than enchanting items at first. Take for instance the red Mageweave headband for a tailor.

Mageweave Headband – Disenchants possible 1 Large Radiant Shard / 1-2 Greater Nether Essence or 1-3 Dreamdust. It takes if can remember correctly 4 bolts of Mageweave (avg. 1.2 gold) 2 Heavy Silken Thread (avg. 10s) and 2 Red Dyes (avg. 85 copper) to make. Okay now that’s a total of 1g.30s.85c to make 1. If you get a Large Radiant shard it usually sells for 5g or more at AH, For Greater nether Essences you usually get about 3g each and Dreamdust about 80s. Do the math you come out ahead. If you use them to enchant you still make money if you sell right.

Any remarks or assistance can be directed here or to myself kirk@gwid.com

WoW thats a lot of color.
Are you Joking? I mean for real? Their are very few folks that are not tailor as well as enchanters, as amatter of a fact tailor is the most common skill to team up with enchanting, that said,What are you talkign about?
Red Mageweave Headband
Large Radiant Shard 6.3%
Greater Nether Essence 29.2%
Dream Dust 64.5%
now theese totals come form a Enchantex database matained by 6 enchanters, they are by no means a drop table, but instad what was realy recived when the item in question was disenchanted. now accoridng to you plan you are gambeling on shard that drops 6.3% of the time or a essence that drops 29.2% of the time, but over half of the time you will end up with a dust, a deffent loss. That assumes that the numbers you listed are correct(I know of nobody that will buy a single dream dust for 80s, if so I would have money shooting out me ears) you seem to be forgetting that the AH requires a down payment, and that anyting over a gold they take a healthy chunk of your sale price, build in to you statement is the idea that Large Radiant Shards are in rare supply and yours will be bought imedatly (not haveing to be posted over and over again)I did the math ... and the numbers dont add up well.

Have you done this? or is it just a idea that you got? If you do this and make money please let me know how, I have taken a bath on shards and the like on meny a server, both PvP and PvE. I admit that occationaly I have made a direct sale and that cuts out the AH Cut, but those are so rare, and take a long time of standing in a city and yelling WTS Large Radiant Shard.

Enchantrix is not correct in it's percentages. It only calculates the type reg not how many so the precentages are skewed. Example you disenchant and get 2X Greater Nether Essence it counts it only as 1. Of course it is whether or not the regs sell. I find Dream Dust sells the quickest. Last night I disenchanted 14 black mageweave headbands. Higher precentages for higher regs and cheaper to tailor because there is no dye to use. I recieved

14 Dream Dust = 4.2 gold at a minimum if you want to say only 30s a piece. Found avg to be around 50s a piece on most servers.

6 Greater Nether Essences = 14.4g at a minimum if you want to say only 2.4g a piece. Found avg to be around 2.9g a piece on most servers.

1 Large Radiant Shard = 4g at a minimum. Found avg to be around 5g a piece on most servers.

So we have total of 22.6g if all sold which they will because that is below proposed pricing. AH does not charge a deposit on listing reagent auctions. take away 4% 90s for AH share and your grand total is 21.70 gold.

Now lets add up what I spent. Black Mageweave (20) you can get for 1g 20s at AH if you shop it. You need 2 heavy silk threads per.

14 X 3 Mageweave Bolts = 42 bolts total that is 210 mageweave or 10.5 stacks. 12.6g

28 heavy silken threads = 5.04g

Total 17.64 gold cost to make
Total 21.70 Sale (Again at reduced prices less than any on AH)

Total made? 4g lot of work huh but it makes money and you get to have fun lol. I usually get the higher prices so total made would go up to about 6.5 gold.

I think the trade skills should be implemented in your char development.By this I mean they should improve something in your hero(I am pointing skills such as enchanting, alchemy, blacksmithing). You can make money out in the world grinding and simultaniously getting EXP and items. For me it seems pointless to go and grind for linen...or some other stuff I need to make..lets say a bag.(EXAMPLE)I preffer to alchemist,go and buy herbs, mix potions, disenchant>>>>enchant, get strong and start doing Quests and perhaps grinding for items. With one word[EVOLVE].Well, atleast thats my opinion I am not binding you with it.lol

Wow this sounds great!I am a tailor/enchanter and have reached 46 enchanting only from destroyoing items I have created.Having in mind that I am only 16 lvl, that is not very bad.
As far as the mage robes and the other stuff-at waht lvl you make them?It requires silk and this makes me think it will be a long time till i start producng them,but...
And also another question-can a tailor make blue and purple items?I think so,but you know-am eager to know.Thank you.

Yes you'll be able to make blue items. They're just a bit pricey. The first blue you'll be able to make is Spidersilk boots. Which requires 2 Iridescent pearls and some spidersilk.
