veins are easy to get, just have to hit right areas and right lvl zones. for copper, just hit any low lvl zone, you can get ton of that right outside stormwind. for tin, you can camp in deadmines, the mine on north west part of westfall, forgot the name. there is also common tin veins on right side of loch modon, around trogg mine area, above it, and around ogres. for iron, duskwood looked to be the best place, spawns around town, bottem right, both mines, and around ogres. desolace was by far the best place for mithril if you are in your 30s, spawns in gelkis and magram camps, bottem of map, out in ocean on top left, and outside maraudon. good thing there too is if you havent started factioning yet, the galkis and magram wont care that you come and mine, take all mithril spawns and not single aggro threat. can spawn around mannoc coven area too but there you have to be able to handle yourself. if you are higher lvl after mithril, all the lvl40 zones i been too have lots of mithril. uldaman, maraudon, outside themtoo , tanaris, some felwood, those are just the ones i know.
