I just reached level 200 and am about to pick what path to take in engineering, but I really cant decide. Could someone with a high level in either of them tell me which is best for making money, or just making sweet stuff

the only diffence between the 2 are about 8 recipes that yeild bind on pick up items.. Decide which set of items ya like best and do that one.. You can trade off on the rest, just make friends with someone from the other school.

Me I went gnome. I enjoy my death ray and battle chicken. Guildie went gob for the mortar reload and BiG OnE. All personal really.

Edit: realized you asked for money makers.. Well eng isnt really your pot o gold trade skill. Its really more for personal charater enhancement.. That being said.. There are a few recipes that do well on the market.. Either school can make sniper scopes +7 to range.. Gnome school can make green lenses that enchanters love. Not sure on a gob specific cash recipe since im gnome.

It's not tied to either of the specializations. I have one and it's been great so far! :D

edit: upon further thought, I'm not sure if the gnomish net-o-matic is learnable by all. It may be a gnomish engineering schematic, but I could have sworn I learned it before I specialized.

Net-o-matic is in fact learned by the gnomish engineering path.

I love the RP aspect of the gnomish stuff, and since I'm a gnome, the choice was easy ;)

The gnomish cloaking device is like a 10 second stealth, correct?

That would be useful for mages using AOE on a big cluster of easy mobs. Could stealth into the middle of the cluster and AOE without worrying about them agroing too early or moving out of the AOE range. I'll have to try that out when I get my hands on one.

net-o-matic is makeable only by gnome side but usable by both since its not BOP

the cloak is a 10 sec invis great for sneaking past knots of mobs.. however its on a long timer .. 30-1h i think.

the cloak is on a 60 minute timer.

The only items that were bind on pickup on the gnomish side were the Battle Chicken and the Gnomish Death Ray (And L'il Smokey I believe, but i don't have the schematic for that yet.)

one simple question to ask yourself before you choose:

What's cooler? Mguyver or A-team?
