Elemental or Tribal? come on some real help please...Follow

i have found nothing on this forum to be of any real help nor any direct links to information containing the help i seek.

i got to make up my mind now, i have leather caped at 225 and am a 39 rogue/human on destromath.

from what i gather this is all i presume to be the two things each have

Tribal - has mostly stats
elemental - has just resistance

now what i thought after a lot of thinkign would be thtat elemental would be the way to go due to its potential for plenty of shadow resistance (the only real rogue killer) i say this because i dueled my friends 33 shadow priest today and lost in an all out duel because i couldnt shake the fear and get back to him fast enough to do some major damage, whenever id get close to him id get his health down to less than 10% within seconds but can not finish him off due to his instant fear, i thought that with elemental crafting i could get some nice shadow resistance buff and have a chance against that fear which i find the true rogue killer. Also i see that elemental could possibly be more helpful in BATTLEFIELDS update due to the undead priests and shaman, two very powerful classes...

but i would really like the 2 cents of thsoe who have achieved. I just want to know my options. my real wants are the Nightstalkers set, but that wont be for a while ^^.

yeah, what he said. but, what i would like to add, is that you should go for what will make you the most profit and/or help your guild the most. generally, you won't get that much of an advantage by crafting your own armor. for example, i could spend money on pattern for "big voodoo robe" and then spend time farming materials, or i could just buy a equally powered vest, in fact i could get another chest that's of the eagle, which is what i need more.

anyway, remember if you do elemental to wait until after the patch, because the quest requires fewer items.

and on a personal note, i do elemental. the profit is great, the items are cool, but it's very limited. tribal and dragonscale have alot more items, but elemental items sell for assload (gauntlets of the sea - 20g, helm of fire - 60g, stormshroud gear - lots of g)

Running various characters through all three of the various leatherworking trees i would like to say that Tribal is by far your moneymaker. Tribal has a more divervse lineup for Druids and Rogues then the Elemental tree. The reasons are numerous but the main factors that standout are these:

1. Elemental requires harder items to get (Heart of Fire for instance which is the biggest pain to get besides Breath of Wind.) and nothing to skin if they do not drop what you need.

2. Tribal is relatively easy like Ironfeathers , Warbear Leather and various things drop from creatues that A. Either skin out to what you want. B. Skins out to thick , rugged ETC. or C. Drops something from sell loot to an actual green/blue item.

3. Dragonscale leatherworking is the biggest moneymaker IN PROGRESS. Killing for instance the Blue Wyrmkin in Azshara nets you from 7 to 14 silver and up a kill for basically an easy kill. Skinnning out to either/or/both rugged leather and blue dragon scales.

The biggest moneymker for any leatherworking skill happens to be both thick and rugged armorkits. Selling rugged kits for 80 silver each has netted me over 120 gold so far (retrained from engie 300 cause of lack of profit off that trade) and is a never stopping seller. Selling them slightly lower (80s) then most others drops the profit margin per but increases the amount sold. In one day just bumming around Winterspring i can usually net in enough leather for 30-40 armor kits. I drop 10 a day on the AH and usually in 3-4 hours they are sold and i simply add more.

The benefit we have over enchanting pieces of armor is this:

Untill 60 most people without enchanting wont pay the high price of 3-5 gold per armor enchant when simply throwing more armor on helps out at a dirt cheap price. Those at 60 with endgame armor get the enchants. :)

Simply put tribal makes the most money per item while dragonscale makes the most money while making items. Elemental is the suckiest tree to go through as any agility/st items are best found in Strat or Scholomance anyway.
