Enchanting/Blacksmithing Question - how do item buffs stackFollow

#1 Mar 14 2005 at 4:16 PM Rating: Good
I have a quick question. I am a blacksmith and I was looking at the plans to make Iron Counterweights. Will attaching these to a weapon wipe any enchantments on the item? And vice versa - will enchanting a weapon that already has a counterweight overwrite the first buff?

Thanks in advance.

Although this was a few weapons and patches ago when I tried to use counterweight it asked if I wanted to overwrite the buff. I can not say this with 100% confidence but I'm 99% sure its the same as having either a leather armor kit or enchant - only one buff at a time.

Only one buff can be added. This does not include the items passive buff if it has one.

Temporary buffs from a blacksmith's sharpening stone will stack on top of a permanent buff, tho. Also the blunt equivalent (don't remember the name off the top of my head).
