Thanks in advance!

Silver is the special version of Tin. Go run around in Ashenvale for Tin nodes until you hit 125. It's slow, yes, but that's all you can do.

Not sure about Ashenvale because my new warrior is low level (just started him). I am sure he is correct though. However, I believe I have seen some along the shores north of Auberdine in Dark Shore zone. I have only been in those areas so it's there somewhere..lol..not much help but I thought I would give you another idea.

Well... lol ashenvale wont be a problem for me ... I didnt pick up professions (blacksmithing/mining) until lvl 35 (I'm a 4,000xp away from lvl 40 paladin) so I will give that a go after work :)

Pre-grats on 40!

I'd get to 40 first and then use the free horse to run between mining nodes faster :P

Ruffy,

Make sure that you're not mistaking the smelting skill up colors with the mining skill up colors. Past a certain point, smelting stops giving skillups completely, but mining will still give a skill up. Check the color when you hover your mouse over the node. The 'requires mining' will be a certain color. That color lets you know your chances of skilling up when you mine it.

I was pissed when I was able to mine iron finally and noticed that I wasn't going to get any skill for smelting it, but was relieved to find that I'll still get the skill for digging it up.
