Hello All,
I need a bit of help please I am a bit confused what is normally considered a “stack” of bars? Is it a set number or is it something that is agreed upon number e.g. 4 bars equals a stack?

Well in my opinion and from what I have seen and heard, a stack is the maximal number of items in one slot. 20 for bars, 10 for ores ect

Havent seen anything like that. But usually raw materials are in 10 stacks. Processed materials and stuff like linen, are in 20 stacks.

No, unaltered Linen Cloth stacks go up to 20, but if you turn them in to Bolts of Linen Cloth, they only go up to 10 in a stack. The same goes for every other tailoring item (Wool, silk, etc.).

Also, some items like fangs, claws and hides stack in 5's.

And if per chance you need to UNstack somethign its shift click, type the number you want, and drop it in an empty slot so you see 2 stacks of what ever. If you try to trade before you drop it in an empty slot you end up trading the whole big stack instead of you piece of a stack.

tool tip should also say what the max stack of that item is.
