Im a level 60 rogue with 285 ench and 240 eng and although i really find some of the items from engineering (im gnomish BTW) fun to use they really dont seem crucial or even at times that beneficial.. Hell ive never got my jumper cables to work even once. Im thinking of dropping it altogether and taking up mining to make some good cash.. Anyone think that i shoulndt for some reason??

WoW... mu jumpercables work about one in 4 times... and droping engenering for mining.. have you been buying all you materials form the AH? As a hunter i find engenering kind of handy if just for crafting shot and making green lenses for enchanters.
Honestly I think you would know better than i as my highest char is 55 but with my 4 chars now i usualy end up droping what ever skill they have and addign engenering(jsut feed materials form one miner)
