My argument is to spend a chunk of you cash at 36 or 37 to gear up... then start a grinding, they eazyiest way is to look at other folks questions instead of putting a question up that is up here 30 or 40 times. theese pages are full of info and a little resarch goes a long way, the awnser is grind grind grind and dont realy start worrying about it till ya are about 37 or 38.
now for a real solution sell leather at the AH in all shapes and sizes ... i think green leather armor sells well at the ah(it is used to make a pice of armor for smiths) but just the raw materials will sell verry well lots of folks need your leather.just start saving stacks and stacks of leather, start posting it at the ah when ya get to 37

Making money for your mount is alot easier than it seems. The amount of money you can make increases alot as you level up and the type of mobs you kill. So read this, worked great for me from lv 30 to 40. I had more than enough gold for mount, all my abilities, and fully upgrading to a new type of armor (mail for hunter) and had 50gold left over to save for a rainy day.

Rule 1) Stay away from the auction house bidding. If you spend money constantly, you will never have enough for mount. Only sell items at auction. Only wear equipment you find or make yourself. Dont buy any gear from auction.

Rule 2) if its grey item drops, take them and vendor sell them all, all of them, even if you have to drop everything and unload to a npc vendor. Those little items add up quick.

Rule 3) avoid buying unused abilities for your class. Just postpone buying the lesser used abilities. They will always be there when your on your mount.

Rule 4) pick a grinding spot you like with exp, good drops and stay there for a level or two. If you keep leapfroging you wont find anything cool to drop. So wait it out, who knows, that blue drop might just be one more kill away.

I'm only lvl 24 and I already save 55g ... so I think it's not a big deal to get the mount at lvl 40

I'm alchimist 225 and herbalist 230 by the way :P

If your leatherworking is at least 205 and you can skin for thick leather, my suggestion would be nightscape tunics. They require 7 thick leather and 2 silken thread. The thread will run you between 9 to 10 silver for 2. You can sell to vendor for 59 silver each. Since you have to grind out the leather you should get some drops that will take care of such things as equipment repair, travel expenses and quiver refills. I have a friend testing this out so I will see how well it works of she sticks to itbut I think it holds potential.

I would suggest farm the ogres at Vul'Mold Ogre Mound in Darkshire (level 25-30). They drop silk and wool cloth in addition to a variety of green items and the occasional blue item.

I've been farming them for the last week and have earned 40g. In that time, I have picked up 3 blue items (Killmain, Drakewing Bands, and Thunderbrow Ring).

The ogres go down quick and easy. I spend about two hours there a day and kill anywhere from 75-100 ogres per day. Typically I see a blue item once every two days.

What I did when I got to around 35 was to go farm the crimson etc whelps in wetlands. Usually pretty quiet there and at 35 they are all grey. You can mow through them.

Why the whelps? Well they drop a very rare pet "tiny crimson whelp". Mine sold on AH for 20g - and that was cheap. They usually go for 30+

They also drop small flame sacs. 5 of these go on the AH for around 2g and you get a steady stream of them. They also drop a decent number of greens.

Another nice thing about this spawn spot is there is a trader 2 mins run from it (at the cross-roads) where you can sell your stuff.

I got my mount at 40.

well at lvl 29 and 30 in thousand needles is decent for cash, the Test of Endurance quest or "the slay grenka harpy" quest area is decent on cash. they drop good amounts of money and a stack of vibrant plumes sell for 80 silver if i'm correct to vendors. Place is called the Roguefeather den and the mobs are lvl 28-30 except grenka who is 31. Besides hitting up this den is cool because there is a solid chest that reappears usually containing an uncommon item, gold bars, and what not. And if you're a miner there are multiple iron deposits to mine. Bad thing is the spawn timer on the mobs here are fast than other places.

Mushou lvl 31 troll hunter.
