I hit leatherworking 225 a few days ago. Unfortunately i'm only level 35 atm so I cannot receive the "advanced" crafting quests yet. So, in the meantime i figure I can just craft for money (I usually just craft for myself/friends or to level up). My question is, what are good items to craft for the cost? I've tried the nightscape set, but they seem to be in over supply and lack of demand. The Tough Scorpid gloves, bracers, and breatplate seem to do ok...but Scorpids are a little too high level for me and they don't sell alot in AH. I don't have the Big voodoo patterns (except the robe), so i'm not sure how those sell as well...although i found a good place to farm the Mojo flasks.

Any input? TIA d-^_^-b

Go to Aerie Peak in the Hinterlands (northeast of Hillsbrad), and for 5 gold, he will increase your max to 300, and teach you stuff up to level 250. That should keep you busy :).

Check for the master trainer and see what patterns he has for you. I just went from 229-250 last night on nightscape pants, voodoo stuff, and some scorpid stuff. The pants i sold back to the NPC and made a nice profit, the voodoo stuff i put in my bank for a rainy day, and the scorpid stuff, i'm wearing it.

YES! I have a complete set of Tough Scorpid gear (and wearing it^^) - gloves, bracers, breastplate, shoulders, helm, boots, leggings....i have to say, after all the work to get it, i'm disappointed. The stats are awesome, but the look just rehashes the insignia set ><

Just FYI,

atleast on my server (Tichondrius), leather goods don't sell very well. I'm a tribal leatherworker 250+ and nothing I've made in the past few weeks has sold worth a damn, so when deciding what to make, choose the items that take the fewest amounts of mats so you can get your level up.

It's really disappointing. I keep putting up items for lower than anyone else on AH but no one buys them. There is just very little market for things like turtlescale/scorpid stuff, or nightscape gear. :/ So make items to skill up, don't worry about trying to make money.

Or, atleast check the AH and /t the sellers to find out if they are getting bids on the auctioned items. If they aren't, you're better off vendoring so you don't lose the deposit.
