Elemental Leatherworking a waste, now what?Follow

#1 Feb 09 2005 at 2:02 PM Rating: Decent
Judging from various posts, it seems that Elemental Leatherworking is pretty much a waste. The items needed for it are either expensive and/or too hard to get.

As a rogue, elemental leather working was the only thing that stood out due to the +agi, +sta, +crit and +dodge.. Thumbing through the other leather masteries, none seem worth it for a rogue.

What's the best thing to do? Go with elemental and stick with the pain of high prices/massive farming? Or go with dragonscale and tribal and get no use out of the armor I'll make?

Please, your feedback is important. Thanks.

I rather like Elemental Leatherworking. It is true the recipes are tough to make and most of them arn't amazing yet.

Key work is yet. There will be patches and updates to come that will add more recipes and Elemental is far from the worst choice available.

As well, the recipes you can make bring in a fair bit of cash. I've probably made 300-400g selling Helm of Fires Because a lot of Rogue's and Hunters love the helm (the fireball is also reported to hit Paladins though immunity shield, although I don't wear one so this isn't confirmed)

In short, don't give up on a trade because it isn't the insta money maker uber tradeskill right off the get go. If nothing else, when it does get good there will be fewer already in the profession.

You can buy the pants pattern at least for stormshround in chillwind for alliance. You just need to be faster then the vendor farmers. I laugh every time I see it for sale in the AH for 5 plus gold when you can buy it from the vendor for 2.
