while browsing the tradeskill area in leatherworking, I only noticed one container and it was a quest for for Horde. Is there an Alliance eqivilant quest? Thank you in advance for the info.

No alliance leathercrafting containers except for ammo pouches and quivers.
The Koda bag is only 6 slot container though. And even though that's great for starting, your character will quickly grow out of it.

THe only reason that exists is due to Tauren classes. Taurens have no cloth workers. That means they have very few to no tailors. The kodo hide bag helped early game taurens without guilds get bags.
