Mining 100-125 (horde)Follow

#1 Jan 23 2005 at 10:47 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, I want to mine my own iron so I can raise my engineering past 150 easier (There's no chance in hell I'm going to be able to afford to just buy all the materials, I only have 11g).

However, I need 125 mining to mine iron.. So, where should I mine in the meantime to raise my skill? I'm only level 25, so I can't handle many areas.

Im having the same issue, but am slowly getting there. You need tin/silver to progess to 125. I'm at 121 atm and am finding tin fairly easily in thousand needles. There are also several tin spots in Stonetalon as well as southern Barrens. Tin is green to me now so I dont always get a skillup when I mine it and all my smelting skills are grey. So I find myself running around alot looking for tin/silver. One benefit to this is that I have found all kinds of iron and mithril deposits so when I finally get to 125 and can get the iron I should be good for a bit. =)

Silver is pretty common around the Harpies area in the Barrens, that should get you well past 125. When the silver is not there, there is copper and tin. Smelting the materials brings skills up too.
