Basic fishing question - help?Follow

The gist of the problem is that I don't catch fish. I admit that I just started, I apply the shiny little bauble, cast my pole out into whatever body of water I am currently at and nothing. The timer counts down and zilch. Now, as a qualifier I am new to fishing.....doing for food for my pet and have only tried approximately 10 times. Maybe I'm in an area too high for my fishing skill? Maybe I'm just to impatient and that isn't enough tries? Constructive advice appreciated. -TIA

Briefly,

I have not run into a body of water with no fish in it, it will tell you if there are no fish to be caught.

When first starting make sure you are fishing in the low level areas as that also has the low level bodies of water to fish.

Cast your pole and when the bobber bounces or you hear the "splash" sound simply right-click the bobber. (make sure it has the "gear" symbol over it"

Fishing skill determines whether or not you can reel the fish in not if they will bite.

When you click the bobber it does NOT have to be instantaneous there can be a slight delay in you clicking it.

Personally, on the Alliance side I took my fishing from 1-150 at Loch Modan or another alliance equivalent.

From there I went to Menethil Harbor and fished my brains out.

The Expert Book can be purchased in Booty Bay on the bottom floor of the docks.
