I disagree with the enchanting/tailor duo. With almost any tradeskill you'll want atleast one money producing skill. Tailoring is a money sink and enchanting is a money black hole. Get mining, skinning, or herbalism to offset the cost of your true primary tradeskill. I got skinning because there are a number of tailored items that do in fact use leather, but tailor/mining is good for money too. While it's true that you can disenchant tailored items for enchanting items you'll be losing serious money. People fail to realize that when you make a tailored item with cloth you've gotten as loot YOU ARE STILL LOSING MONEY. Stacks of cloth are worth a lot, even to vendors. Sure you can turn around and sell the tailored item to the vendors but you're still often losing out on some cash. WoW did a good job making cash important in this game as opposed to other(cough EQ))with the AH, the need for repairs, food/drink, spells, learning trade skills, mounts, flight paths etc. Coin is a very real concern in the game and you want to try to avoid losing all your money to tradeskills. In tailoring the only really sellable items are bags and the occasional quest item (arcana robes etc) the rest is mostly just to keep yourself geared up til you can get uber upgrades that last for a long time. Enchanting is a GREAT tradeskill....but it's the most expensive hands down. I mean Christ the way you harvest the tradeskill reagents is to destroy magic/rare items.
That's just my feeling though. I tailor/skin now and skinning is a good way to get free money. I tailored/enchanted in beta andwas displeased by how often I'd have too little money for my spells, repairs, or FPs.
