I used to play ffxi , then switched to Wow , been playing that for some time now and thinking of switching back, I am wondering though is there a website of some sort like wowjutsu.com which for wow tells you roughly how many chars. there are on the server and am wondering is there one like that for FFXI?

not really but FFXIAH (which you should NEVER access from the PC on which you actually PLAY FFXI, BTW) will give you an indicaotr of economic strength and size of the market - which is a pretty good indicator of how many people are on a server.
