Is FFXI dying? Follow

FFXI must be dying because there's so many people playing WoW and looking forward to Warhammer and Age of Conan and gilsellers and stuff and RMT and camp times and deleveling and to be honest I don't have any idea what you guys complain about nowadays.

But hell, this is a new thread!

WOW gives me terrible nightmares of my sister......

When I was younger she would beat me up......

Then I became a single dad and was forced to live with my leechy evil sister.....I played FFXI cause it kept the tears away.....the shame of living with ones sister was abated by the life of FFXI!!!!!

She would be in the next room cussing out some 12 year old boy that ganked her in PvP.......anyways.....I will never play WOW cause I ain't that cool!!

I play both now. Each one has better this then that, it's enough to keep me occupied. Just screw FFXI endgame, it's for the birds.

I also think that FFXI focuses too much on the end game and discourages those that aren't hardcore players to get those nifty items.

They wouldn't just "pull the plug" lmao.

Servers will merge, less GMs will be needed, the "Development" team will become smaller and start to resemble a "Touch-up" team.

Square Enix will still be raking-in enough money (from the cult-following that continues to play) to perpetuate the game.

Maybe they'll make endgame small-group oriented.
Something along the lines of difficulty-based-on-entries.

18 people entering dynamis = such and such difficulty
12 people entering dynamis = such and such difficulty
etc
etc

I still see plenty of new people in the low level areas when passing through, so I wouldn't say it's dying, but it's certainly boiling down to the "Core" fangroups.

Man I should have posted this in FFXI main. That would have been pretty funny.

I got 4 level 75 jobs and I don't even waste my time on the end game. I got a job, and some sort of real life to deal with.

I foresee a server conglomeration in the future. In the meanwhile, I think everyone needs to level a tank so parties will be easier to complete.

I still think FFXI is dying. Sad.

We'll know when FF starts to seriously go into decline when they start merging servers.

FFXI has been dead and done with since people LONG LONG LOOOOONG ago found out that the GM's say they do alot, but they dont do jack squat...SE says they ban so many accounts a day, yet when have you actually noticed more than a handful of "notorious gilsellers" gone *cough cough Apathy cough*...then there is also the issue of easily a good 25% of the population of all servers have been gettin their accounts hacked and stripped (even while they are online, no less), and when the victims report the crime, SE, in a roundabout way, says that they're up a creek without a paddle and that they cant (aka REFUSE) to do anything because that would mean they would actually have to do some work.

Not only that, but have they even fixed known issues with the old jobs before moving onto the new ones?! (Three letters says it all....P...U...P...need I say more?)

A couple alternatives=

World of Warcraft - All those millions of people switching over and staying put sure cant be wrong.

Guildwars - Who needs camping an NM or paying a monthly fee to play a game you already shelled out a crapload of money for anyways? No monthly fees...no having to compete for a week on end with gilsellers who are cheating to claim nms...hell...if you leave a town, the entire world is yours to explore and claim thanks to their system!

Outspark.com games - Free downloads, big @$$ worlds, friendly people, GM's who will actually DO SOMETHING, especially if someone breaks 8 rules in the user agreement...instead of just sitting on their @$$, smoking a doobie, drinkin a 5th of whatever hooch that SE is drinking when they come out with all kinds of new turds for the FFXI community to swallow and make them think that it's filet mignon.

No matter how much you polish up a turd, or how much seasoning you put on a cooked up turd, or however much fancy dressings you put on or around a turd to disguise it, it's still going to be the same thing that it is...a turd. Quit swallowing the turd people. They take your money, and use the money to give you...that's right...more turds, and until there is a class action lawsuit against them for not living up to their end of the user agreements that they put in place...all they are going to give every last one of you is a steaming, festering, fly infested pile of turds, one after the other, and you'll sit there, love it, and defend it because you have a level 75 job with all your precious gear that you worked a year for that is sure to be gone about an hour from now when some Japanese, Chinese, ****ese douchebag hacks you while you're camping whatever NM you're at, rips your stuff off, and leaves you naked and pennyless.

Go and flame me if you want, but you know damn well that I'm right. You can defend the turd machine that is SE all you want...but all you are gonna get by doing so is another turd dropping in front of you that you're gonna sniff and say that it smells like a rose, when it's STILL a turd.
