Nearly a year since I've quit....Follow

Well now. For all of you who once knew the real me and werent trying to make my life miserable while on Final Fantasy XI...I figured I would go ahead and stop by and say hello. I know some total @$$holes like the Dream Hunter LS will probably say otherwise, and probably still do...but I'm proud to say that in close to a year since I ended up leaving FFXI behind after someone hacked my account and took everything that I have (And I know who did it too, got proof, and GM's STILL wouldnt do anything)...I am presently engaged, and I've become an expecting mom to be! My due date is right around Valentine's Day or so, and I couldnt be happier now that I dont have to deal with people making me miserable online like FFXI started to make me. I play quite a bit of Magic: The Gathering online and IRL now, thanks to my husband to be and father of the baby to be, and I've actually gotten rather good at it too.

All in all though, in some ways, i cant help but feel a bit nostagic about the days I had on FFXI. I would play it again...but I just dont see a reason why to at all yet. Yeah, it's great they came out with a new expansion...whoopee. What good will that do?

Does SE still lie? Do GM's actually do anything at all yet? Can people still get away with murder like always? Did they ever implement chocobo racing? Did they ever get AF2 for PUP and BLU? Is Apathy still a secret society on Remora much like the Stonemasons IRL?

Just though I should ask. I may consider coming back after the wedding and I give birth to the baby...but I'd have to start all over again, unless someone finds who I gave Purfect too and tells them the news. Anyways...for all of you who give a care and are still reading, start leaving some good baby name ideas! I can use a few to keep in mind. Until another time everyone...

Wow... a name I actually remember.. though you probably wont remember me. Had a few parties with you and I think you helped me get some of my RDM AF at some point. Your on my friends list that all I know. You must have quit around the same time I did, bc it would have been a year for me at the end of this month... unfortunately I got sucked back in and started playing again last week. Well its good to see one of the cool ppl from the past is doing well. Best of luck to you and your finance and congratulations on the baby.

well ya because WoW is so much easier I got a 70 gnome warrior in under 2 months lol. As for getting your account hacked I know the pain >.> Didnt let it discourage me when I wanted to come back though. Its alot faster the second time around since you know exactly what you need to do and what is just a waste of time. ^_^

Chocobo racing is implimented now as is a weird pokemon ish type of area called pankration which is pretty fun in small doses.

As for FFXI as a whole it all depends on how and why you sit down to play, if you log in to just have some fun and keep that mind set for just "you" yourself having fun without paying to much attention to what everyone else is doing you will continue to have fun since you won't be pulled into the drama that people complain about (those same people like to scream it out like a oath of salvation yet are the first to fall into the list of kings and queens)

So play for fun and don;t get drawn in, you will be happy you came back. I was indeed, doesnt even bother me so much I got hacked after years of progress which I am working on retaining at my own pace.

Also a big congrats on the expecting and your up and coming wedding I just got engaged this winter and looking forward to a summer wedding ^_^

Yeah, or if you start playing a new job....just keep it light....the game is getting a bit easier to solo.

Yeah and Chak, you should have deleted your character rather then giving it to a friend....it was like seeing a ghost walk around......
