VVillow, it occurs to me that Doomking and Doomknight are both names that follow common patterns of Chinese gil sellers. Others servers have people like the Numbers Gang, who start out with all odd numbers (Crazyone, Crazythree, Crazyfive, etc.), which leaves room for them to expand or replace banned members easily. I'm not giving specific examples, because these people aren't PROVEN gil sellers, but it is generally the way they name their toons. The utter lack of mining etiquette is also a good indicator of their guilt.

As for stupid people partying in the Dunes, get used to it. There are always people who seem to think they know everything about everything, and can do it all better than you, but don't seem to do a whole lot but talk and complain. My advise? Drop from the party. Don't explain yourself, just get the hell out. It's not like it's hard to get a group in the Dunes, and when you think about it, there will be that many less A-holes looking for group. People like that tend to stick together, because they validate their own attitudes and beliefs. Give it some time, and you will end up in that nice group of people that don't mind chaining VT Snips for an hour or two, so long as the xp is decent and NOBODY dies.

Been playing since PS2 release, and just came across the first person I've ever needed to blist, Hearoh.

I partied with him soon after I first migrated, and he didn't seem bad enough to /blist, just kind of annoying. He was around a lvl 35 SMN while I was a lvl 35 RNG, we also had a THF in the party amd me and him were sorta play-competing to see who could do the most one-shot damage, and everytime someone brought it up, Hearoh would get pissed off if nobody mentioned his 2HR. He was gimped equip-wise, didn't know what he was doing (Using Titan for his melee in CN), and his rudeness actually made someone leave the party...

And earlier today, I'm now a lvl 46 SMN, and I'm in Rolanberry, trying to up my Summoning skill, and he passes, and /checks me, he's now a lvl 40 SMN. The conversation went something like this...

Him: WHERE DID YOU GET THAT STAFF (I had a Himmel Stock)
Me: Auction House
Him: How much?
Me: 125k
Him: ....
Him: Well, I got 2 Astrals, so we're about even ( I have on 1 Astral, and 1 Electrum)
Me: I could actually buy a second one, but I don't think the extra 5 MP would be worth it
Me: Trying to save up for the lvl 50 Austere Set
Him: Do you at least have a second Himmel Stock to loan?
Me: No, and I don't loan out items
Him: -_-

At this point, I'm mildly annoyed, he then goes off somewhere, I don't know, but he passes by me again about 10 minutes later

Him: Well, at least I got Fenrir

That came out of nowhere, apparently he felt as though he had to prove he was a better Summoner then I was, so he just tossed that out of nowhere.

Me: Hrm?
Me: Really? Last I heard, you didn't

When I last partied with him, he didn't have Fenrir, and he was really pissy about it, snapping at anyone who asked. I still don't think he actually has Fenrir anyway, seeing as he's Rank 2 and his bazaar message listed his avatars, and "Fenrir" wasn't listed.

Him: They lied... I got him with my LS
Me: Oh, so you leeched him
Me: I'm waiting to get him fairly :)
Him: WTF? No, we fought him
Me: Ah, so you have a level 65+ job then?
Him: We fought him
Me: Do you at least have a 50+ job?
Him: We fought him
Me: Sorry, but unless you have a level 65+ job, you leeched him
Him: We fought him

He kept repeating that, like it meant something of value...

Me: Unless you have a higher leveled job, I doubt you were any help in the fight...
Him: stfu you wannabe SMN, your gear sucks anyway

Again, changing subjects randomly... He says my gear sucks after asking to borrow my staff, interesting... He did have 2 Astrals, but he was also running around in running around in Hume RSE Tunic (adds very little for a SMN), Onyx Earrings, Bird Whistle, and using a Ceremonial Dagger, yet he talks about my gear...

Me: If you aren't a level 65+, then please tell me how you were of any use in a battle against a level 80 mob...
Me: Because if it works, you've completely destroyed the whole concept of getting Fenrir...
Him: I'm blisting you now you wannabe SMN noob

About 2 minutes later, he sent me a fake mistell calling me gay or something, I wasn't really paying attention at that point.

So, yeah... unless you want a SMN who leaves his avatar out for entire fights, refuses to main heal, whines about backup healing, has gimped gear, and thinks waaaay too highly of himself, don't invite Hearoh...

Raoyao is added to the /blist. He is very ignorant, and bothers me with his instigating. Shouting in jeuno does not get you what you want when you spam. Anyway, that's my put-in.

Ok. I'm a little fed up with people complaining about the dunes parties, and the people within. First off:

1. If you are in a party in the dunes, you are going to get a party with a member, or a few who do not do their job, do not keep their mouth shut, or try to boss you around.

#1 Reason:
Because at that level, noone knows their job, the who or the what, the where or the how.

2. Valkurm is frustration-central. Goblins at every corner, parties lasting 2 seconds 99% of the time, and people claiming they know what they are doing when it is quite clear they do not.

#2 Solution:
As soon as a party in the dunes starts to go bad, type the folloing: /p (Party) (I'm Sorry) (Take Care) In the translation. Then disband. This is common, and if anyone gives you a hard time about it, T R U S T M E, they are new to the game.

-This is the solution for a true good player. Those who are the good players with experience, will understand where you are coming from, and not send you a /tell like: "Why the He** did you just leave the party??"

The dunes are chaos-people resort to cursing, fighting, arguing, wasting time bickering from just "being" there. LoL-you already know it's total he** in the dunes, so don't poste on it. Just keep in mind, most of the people their are mindless, newbs. The one's who know their stuff will usually be leveling their advanced job there.

Littlegina is one of the kindest white mages you will ever meet. She teleports for free, and goes out of her way to do it. She has done it for me 2 times. Do not /blist her.

I hate to break it to you, but you don't own the Tomb area just by farming there. Sure, great, you're working hard. So are other people. If you're killing things that you wouldn't even get a notable amount of XP for, especially none, then you don't have any right to comaplain if somebody else kills them. If you're there first, fine, good, but he can still hunt in the same area. You don't have any special claim there for ALL the mobs.

By the sounds of things, he was there first. And you showed up, and started telling him what he could and couldn't kill. Nothing gives you that right.

Nothing annoys me more than when I'm hunting in an area and some jackass comes in, and accuses me of "stealing his mobs" when I get something dead. It isn't your zone, especially if you were not there first.

Like me or not, I'm posting on Hmong. I watched my brother get scammed out of his share of gil from the drop of Spini Spipi.

I sent him a /tell and he told me the same thing, "He should have the cape since he spent a good week camping the NM". My brothe was one of the people in his party at the time. I watched the whole thing take place.

A lot of people in the TriforceDefenders linkshell are idiots. There was one that pissed me off pretty badly today.. I'm hoping VVilow remembers his name :P... we asked him to stop crowding us, but he wouldn't listen. He proceeded to make jokes about how we're lovers or something, and how we wanted the area for hot sex. Apparently he stayed cause he wanted to see? not sure. Either way... he wouldn't leave at all, and VVilow got tired so we just left. The poor sumbitch still doesn't know the placeholder :D

ok, i just want to clear one thing up regarding the TriforceProtectors and alucardr. The behavior of alucardr described by Willow in no way portrays the bahavior of the rest of our link, personally, when i read this post i immediatly felt the need to kick alu from the shell, this is not the kind of treatment any of our members take a liking to. this matter will be dealt with the extreme severity. From all of us in the Triforce, please accept our sincerest apologies.

Having spoken to Alcuard I make a public apology and hope he forgives me i did'nt hear his side of the story , If he claimed a NM a killed it tough really thats the way NMs are i loose lizzy all the time im sure you all have lost NM but he was'nt camping from what i can gather, and was abused he might not of answered with silly comments but regardless of that NMs are for everyone should we let gilsellers camp NM because they were there 1st i think not.

I have not yet found it neccesary to BlackList any players and I don't think that I ever will use that function. Not that I recent it but I just wouldn't use it myself. :) The worst thing I have seen or heard was players (mostly new players) spamming the chat window for Gil donations for whatever needs. I often see this and do not find it anyoing in any way really. But instead I actually feel a little sad for those doing it, since I know it can damage their reputation. When I see a new player doing this I sometimes tell them what some people might think of them afterwards, especially if they do it often. I personally don't believe in trashing people just because they make a mistake by spamming for Gil donations. I'd rather want to help them realize that it isn't a very sporty noor wise way of doing this game. So I tell that to them basically. I myself am no experienced player but I know what is the right thing to do, and how to behave. It can be put quite simple actually, in my oppinion just listen to what people has to say about anything really, and then try to control your temper if it upsets you. No problems will ever be solved if the parties are angry and frustrated about the things they experience. I have helped many new players get their game started and I even helped some to get it started by giving them some equipment I had no use for or a 1000 gil or something when they where in need of it because of sheer unexperience. Of course I wouldn't do this unless I felt completely comfortable with that person. And in all cases they where very grateful for my help, and have been my acquintances since then. Of course there are some players that already from the beginning start to ruin the game for yourselves. Such as people spamming for gil. But then just tell them in a polite fashion what the general oppinion on gil spamming is.
Now with people harassing other players verbally and stuff like that, to that I would have to say again that you should try to speak to them calmly and just ask them to stop. I know that this probably doesn't work unfortunately, but it's worth a try. Players unsulting other players like this are probably not trying to be mean to you in general really, but they are just trying to make some fun out of the game for themselves, they just do it in a rude fashion, and all of you know this situation from real life I bet. It's a simple matter of whether or not that person gets any attention or not. I know that it sounds like a stupid parent like advice, when I am saying that one should just ignore them after having politely asked them to stop being rude, but if you truly do ignore them they will go away sooner or later believe me. You must not just refrain from doing any activities in the game with them for that time, but you must completely ignore them, not speak or anything to them. This will take the fun out of most of these players and they will lieve you alone simply because you bore them, and they will not come back to annoy you again, since it's no fun. In my oppinion the call of a GM should be your last resort in such a case. Give the person a chance to learn how to conduct him-/herself in the game, and only YOU can help them with that. Besides I have heard that to call a GM when harassed by other players is pretty much useless. :(
In the case with the Notorious Monster "stealing" and people being followed when mining etc. I realize there is a huge problem, since this is heavily preventing you from enjoying the game. I myself would always have a polite attitude in such a situation. I would ask them to stop what they are doing because it is harrasing me, and is possibly a violation of the User Agreements. If that didn't work I would ignore them completely and if they still would not leave me alone, I would consider calling a GM if there was a violation of User Agreements. Now if the GM does not do anything about this, then I would accept the fact that this player is a "trouble player" and that he probably will be for some time if not always. I would not resort to verbally insult him, since this will only excite him even more.

Now of course this is MY oppinion, and it is how I will react to such situations. Many of you will probably think that I am a naive "soft" retarded individual with absolutely no life. lol :)
But I simply want to enjoy the game as much as possible and I can not do that if I end up in a dialogue of insulting phrazes. And on a side note I would like to say that I am very pleased of this game, and all the people I have met or seen so far have been very nice and also helpfull to me when I was newborn to this game. I look forward to partying with many of you guys soon. :)

Alucardr -> If that's how things truly went down, then it kinda saddens me... All too often, (I'm seeing already), things are this person's word against that person's word on here just as IRL. If what you said was true, all I can do is wish you the best.

brni -> I love reading about others helping new players. I kind of got side-tracked myself after leveling up to a certain point and getting a decent amount of gil on me by helping a lot of new players myself. Sometimes it would be THE most random thing.. I'd just pick someone out and tell them it was their lucky day. Other times I'd see someone that was struggling around level 7 or so, with the generic armor or weapons still equipped and seeming to be extremely frustrated with everything -- I'd spend a good deal more time trying to share my similar frustrations starting out in the game and helping them out by showing them around and giving them ideas for quicker leveling and how to make more gil.
I'll never forget the guy I helped where our travels around San d'Oria eventually led to me passing by the AH, picking up some new armor for him and then heading to the MH area. He didn't understand why I told him to go leave all his old gear inside his MH, but when he was finished and "traded" with me... well, he was rather happy and had an entire new outlook on the game I think. Hahaha

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm a WHM because I like helping other people.

So, I'm to assume that alucardr, being the eloquent bullsh*tter he is, would not have "left to another area" if we had asked. Which is funny, because we did. We asked if he would please not crowd us. Which was met with accusations of being gay.

And oh yes, we could certainly tell how friendly he was. He was making fun of Chakrila for fighting the quads while I cast regen and protect on him. Level 21 taking on 3 quads is a decent feat on his own. To paraphrase "@#%^ can't fight on his own?", I assumed alucardr was an idiot. I have yet to see a contrary fact.

Or when he used the "/em @#%^s him in ass" while I was AFK. Really classy.

Maybe the "wat were u 2 making out" when we asked him to give us space, instead of "politely moving on" was an indication that alucardr was a dick. Or the subsequent gay-bashing that followed.

It could be the shouting about "HAHAHAHA I got ur NM noobs!" after I ran off to help Chakrila. And then claiming to have gotten the Braveheart? AH says no, smart guy.

I would think that following me around after I got tired of dealing with the infantile would have maybe done it. Who enjoys having a halfwit crowd them all night?

The line "Mentor haha u should have a for @#%^" was popular with me. Just previously in the night I had helped two people get keys, not including Chakrila. I also had a level 9 WAR in tell, asking me where he could find fetich pieces. Yeah, the M was there so I could be "superior". I do remember you talking down on Chakrila for his level, though. How hypocracy amuses me.

Yes, I was an absolute selfish bastard. That's why I took Chakrila farming with me; I definitely wanted to give him half the take and ore I mined because of selfish reasons. He walked away with a good amount of gil, probably more than me for the night.

Maybe when he went out of sight, cast sneak and invisible on himself, then came back and sat there again, he was confused. By what he says, he wasn't there for the NM. But he was trying to be there secretly to take it? Oh wait, he's lying. That's funny to me.

lmao... Ryancabrera TRIED to do that to me. As soon as he mentioned gil, I told him no, but he could have my blist. He's like, sure, what's that? I told him, well, as soon as I put your name on it, you no longer exist. So he spent about twenty minutes following me around, I assume trying to talk to me, but gave up and moved on to some other poor soul.

Anyways, the people on my blist are no one special, they just did the one thing I hate more than any other: free gilz plz? ^^ ^^ ^^? Damn, I hate that kind of crap. In the entire time I have played this game, only one person has ever sent me a tell asking what HE could do to make money. I was more than happy to tell him some of the things I did when I was his level, and even bought him a shiny new GAxe, seeing as he was WAR main, and about the level where he could kill sheep and do some low level leather crafting for cash. Sheep are great for skilling up around level 18-20, btw. Wish I would have got his name, but a damn fine example of what integrity will get you.

When people ask me for gil I /slap them and tell them to stop begging.

I think people will blacklist for whatever they damn well please. We don't need to you define the "correct" reasons.

3 days ago, I went to King Ranperre's Tomb, and decided to camp the Spook so I could have enough gil to buy my 2 Stamina Rings *Posted in the Wishlist Thread* Anyway

Hearoh was standing at the front of the Tombstone, when I ran up right when it was about to spawn and started spamming knowing it was about to spawn. It was the first spawn time, and as soon as I provoked it, Hearoh sent me the following /tell:

"You faggot low-level nOOb! Get the @#%^ out of MY Tomb!" I told him flat-out in front of everyone at the tomb, I didn't know him, and to not get mad just because I beat him in provoking the Spook. Hearoh starts cursing, and flaming at me. I told him to grow up and act mature. So me and another player (Tarutaru with a name like Ryozzzzz) started talking. Hearoh started flaming at me again, telling Ryozzzz to /blist me because his whole LS has me on their /blist.

Hearoh has his LS member Strawberrykitty come to the tomb. So I told her and Hearoh they were /blisted for harrassing me. Ryozzz told me Hearoh said I owe him 10k. I asked him why? Ryozzz says I owe Hearoh 10k for being at his "@#%^ing tomb" Point stated, Hearoh is a really immature player who seems to think he owns the tomb. "I will admit, when I first started FFXI, I thought I owned the tomb as well"

aah, Hearoh... forgot the sumbitch's name when I was in Qufim. Apparently, him and Alucardr are friends? And that one person gets mad at me for saying the LS they're in is immature, and ignorant. It is unfortunate that I do have to add someone to this forum thread. I have posted threads in the remora forum, and amongst the numerous forums and threads throught Allakhazam. I must add Devin to this list.

Tonight in Jeuno Devin decided that he would shout, "to all you people who do not help... t(o.ot)" I found this to be offensive, not at the start...but when I did a search on his name and saw that in his search comment was, "I'm busy leave me alone." If I had not found that, the following conversation would have never occurred.

He proceeded that his comment and shout was aimed at higher level a-holes like me. I was taken aback, because I indeed do try as hard as I can, within my power as the current level I am, to lend a hand. He said no one would give him a warp II, which I proceeded to offer, but he telled back, "thanks for the offer but, i'll have to pass." there wasn't a more vile way to respond. I tried to make a gesture of kindness and the hand offered was slapped away.

When you are having problems getting help, is it really smart to alienate more people who were willing to help? I was trying to advise against further alienation of the people they are not getting help from, and I am the a-hole. That is wrong.

I told the person, Devin, that I will be adding their name to this list, to give them the chance to explain their actions, and give me some form of apology. Blatantly calling me names and insulting me is not right, and no one on these forums deserves treatment like that.

Until Devin can own up to his actions, this post will remain, when he apologizes, I will immediately retract and edit this out since he will then not be so low as to require his name on this vile thread.
