I started playing it 'cause 5 of my RL friends play it, and they've been constantly nagging me to play every single day for like the past couple of months. This weekend I had nothing to do so I decided to finally install it (I owned the game, just never got to installing it) and try it out. I've only played it this weekend, but have so far enjoyed it.

Same here, started to play cause all my friends left FFXI, including my real life friend. In December, my Friend List was full, today, maybe 3 or 4 people will log on the game. Plus, there is really nothing left to do in this game except chatting and helping some friends with random stuff.
Having Windower and Vent (without the risk of getting banned) make WoW even funnier~

Seeing as FFXI is ment to be alot more harder, complexing, timesinking and team involving then wouldnt that make FFXI more harcore and therefore FFXI is the darkside compared to WoW lol.

I've got a 44 Female Elf Rogue that rides a white tiger. ^_^ Pretty much the stereotypical Elf on WoW. I played it much like everyone else.. my friends went to it because we were tired of organizing missions for HOURS and then playing them for 3 times as long. But, I still miss FFXI.. I need to convince them to come back. I can't stand playing in the Dunes w/o them... 12 year olds annoy me. "ZOMG WHERE IS T3H ZONE! HELLPP!!!!111"

My RL friend got me to play this its ok i like the fact that after lvl 10 i don't have to goto the Dunes till lvl 18 and move on lol. the solo factor makes this game fun...but the grafixs are somthing else...too cartoony i think?
