Dont Join Methylosyndicate!!Follow

I never intended to post in this thread out of respect for Joel's parents, but after reading it a 2nd time, and remembering how he attacked us with his his flat out lies. I just have to respond.

The reason Joel even ended up in the LS to begin with was because I invited his parents who both play the game and are both genuinely good people.
Meth liked them right away and gave them both a pearlsack pretty much instantly, then shortly after they told me they wanted to invite Joel into the shell.

I tried to think of a way to tell them that I didn't think Joel would fit in, but I didn't. How do you tell people you respect that their son isn't welcome?
To myself I just gave a /sigh and knew it wouldn't be long before he started clashing with members who stand for everything that EvilJoel isn't and never will be.

Sure enough 1st garrison he wastes no time, and starts causing problems. Not only does he show up with the useless lvl 20 WAR/NIN combo, but he never stfu and was barking out orders to linkshell veterans who had been doing garrison a hell of a lot longer than he had.

I could go on and on, and fill in little behind the scene tidbits about how much he annoyed people, and how many chances he had to just play it cool, but instead I'll just respond to two of his statements.

"They have affiliations with gil-sellers"
I would ask what proof you have of this, but I know you just threw that in to be slanderous.
Your name isn't unfamiliar when it comes to that topic though. A couple of your former ls mates filled me in on when they suspected you were buying gil and decided to track your purchases on ffxiah. Yep, that's a good story. It's the story about how you had over 5 million in buying transactions, but for some reason you didn't have any selling transactions before hand.
I suppose you got it all from doing quests, you must have found one that rewards you with a gil-growing tree, and the rest of us just don't know about it.

He (Meth) is allowed to use job combos that are not proven and if he failed oh well "I'm the leader you do what I say."

First off we never failed, and 2nd that job combo proved to be more effective then the previous kiting method. If you had any kiting experience you would've understood, but instead you were too busy crying over why you couldn't show up with your gimped job combo.

All you had to do is be a team player, and you'd still be a member of one of the most enjoyable communities in the game.
A privilege you obviously didn't deserve to begin with.

How much time could you have possibly wasted reading that single sentence? 3.4 seconds at best? Even if you read real slow? I think what he meant was, he wasnt gonna repeat things that were already said in a post that might actually take you some time to read. A post such as THIS:

Heres what I think really happened in there micey. You saw a fresh post on Valefor's most notorious LS bash thread and began to salivate at the mere thought of catching glimpse as a new drama unfolds right before your eyes. That kinda stuff just BREEDS like an infestation down here, so you're not entirely to blame. Anyway, when you only got to read a plain & simple statement or reply in which no one gets hurt, yelled at, or has buttsecks, only to your own disappointment do you feel angered and frustrated enough to respond... Negatively about my buddy Mystico's post I might add. But, did you know that by posting in such a thread you are in all actuality, inadvertantly helping this thread maintain it's notoriety?! No one else thought so either. Self inflicted damage aside, you post. "Take that Mystico! Ya selfish bastard! How dare you post something I didnt enjoy reading?!?!". In light of all that, my dear micey, I think one minor detail has escaped you in your time of crisis: People's replies do not require your approval before the site will allow them to be posted! But alas, he types something out to his liking and clicks the "Post Message" button thereby sealing his fate. While Mystico's comment may have not been to your satisfaction, I certainly hope this little story of mine was able to captivate you. In fact, I hope that everytime you see this thread at the top of the list theres something good and juicy inside that might passify your burning lust for gossip. But please, try to remember, people often say certain things when provoked. I only say these things of negative demeanor to help you realize how being negative can make them feel. Often times provocation comes in the form of disrespect. Why be negative? Why be disrespectful? Its only a matter of time before someone comes along to see the mess and spout words of aid for a fellow player. Some words are appreciated, some are forgotten or even ignored. Words, like the kind in this thread. Action, reaction. Thus is the circle of server forum life.

The moral of the story? I dont think MysticoOblivion wasted your time micey, I think you just need to find something better, perhaps on TV. I hear days of our lives is good. :)

P.S. I didn't mean the nasty things I said in there. Only trying to recreate the effect you could've had on someone.

Actually I wasn't angered/offended/disappointed or anything by Mystico's post.

I know how this site works, I know how posters work, and I know that if a thread is necro'd, that by responding to it, it just helps to maintain the thread on the first page.

My reasoning as to why I responded the way I did was simply for the sake of responding with something witty, and maybe even a response back.

If for some reason his necro had offended or upset me or what ever, I'd have rated him down. As you can see by his post rating, he hasn't recieved any rate downs.

Nothing on alla bothers me but 2 things. And that is ignorance and stupidity. Trolling, necroing and spamming have no effect on me. Hell, one of my friends spammed the FFXI Main page thinking it was his server forum. He covered the entire first page with his spam, and it didn't even bother me at all. I just LOL'D at everyone's /butthurtedness because of the spam. It was all rather amusing.

Contrary to popular belief, you can actually discuss or bring up a topic without calling others names to force a reaction out of people. Besides, to the masses, in the end it just makes you look like a great big A-hole.

I digress. Anyway, its interesting how you knew EXACTLY which thunder I was referring to without me acutally spelling it out eh? I think maybe your response supports my statement rather than disproves it. Kinda like how everyone knows EXACTLY who I am referring to without actually mentioning your name, troller. Actions speak louder than words, even if the words tell lies about the action. You have nothing to fear my good man because I will NEVER be as good a troller, hater, or as negative a person than you. As for micey, I can understand how you may have missed the point I was trying to make given the length and nature of my post. Allow me to make it perfectly clear. Calling someone's post "A necro post" and a "waste of time" is insulting, condescending, and disrespectful. Clearly you didnt see that because you immediately posted a response that was just OOOOZING with denial and left no room for any sort of an apology. Even if you didnt insult him, you insulted me. Hence my story of condescending remarks made towards you. I wanted you to experience how negative words can effect other people. And judging by your response, I think it worked. You had a rebuttal for almost every negative thing I said about you. Think about THAT for a minute, princess.

In addition to all this crap I'm posting, I'd like all the wittle web trolls out there to try and wrap your under developed heads around this lil tid bit. Responding with something witty or getting a response out of someone can be achieved without being so negative. Granted its easier just to call people names and piss them off and besides, wheres the fun in being respectable?

Lastly, that was his first and so far his only post. Its clear that it wasnt some deliberate attempt bring a thread back from the dead. Which is clearly getting people's panties in a bunch. So, take your necro post comment and shove it. He didnt mean to waste your precious time by making you reading it. You did. You cant get enough of this crap. I think if one day alla closed down, yall would slip into a psychotic episode of withdrawal. Nah, scratch that, the internet is full of places for disease to grow.

As for me, every time this thread gets a post. Someone really f'in cool gets recruited into my linkshell. I have no trouble posting here. Even if the great Suicihi doesnt like it.

On an unrelated note, I had to reactiviate my content ID's this morning because my old credit card had expired though I'm still not playing.

Brixion here, one of the newer members of TheMethylosyndicate. Here I am, on the LS site, readin bout things I need to be knowin, when I get referred to this link here to see WHAT it means to be a member. Just gotta say, in aw and admeration for these folks, Meth in particular... Amazing.

Meth, you got more bite, and MORE wit, goin for ya than most of us could ever hope to have in our lives. As for Evil, and WHOever goes to try and piss you off, I gotta say to you guys... you ain't got what it takes to go up against this man, and YOU know it LOL!

My old LS, a great group of folks, had me outleveled a long time ago. I was a level 52 character and they were all Meriting and other stuff. I was one of the origional members, and I suppose it was my "charm" that kept me around for that long lol. Needless to say, after years of being with them, we all just drifted apart. So one day, my good friend Doran, a better man than I could ever hope to be, tells me he got me into a new LS that can help me with my level lackin problem (as well as other ingame needs, folks to associate with mainly lol).

TMS, it was HUGE and chatty, the way my old LS once was. I felt like a fish outta water, to say the truth. /sea all linkshell before would list bout 12 people max. NOW it feeds me bout two pages of names at any given time! Hadn't ever had that before LOL!

It might be too early for me to say what I am thinkin bout this LS, but let me tell ya this: If you want an LS filled with active, friendly members of all ranges, you are sure to find it here with these folks! And if none of what's in this thread amazes ya, I'd call ya a liar to be sure.

Meth, you might come off too strong for some people, but I think a leader needs to be able to inspire his people into action and a direction. You picked a team of vices that seem to share your desire and are more than ready to stand by your side.

I'm not much of a player atm, havn't been for a long while. But after readin all this, seein how passionate you and they are to help the LS and friends, I think I finally found someplace I can belong. Luck or what have you, I feel quite fortunate to have this chance to be part of your syndicate!

I hope one day I can have a chance to show the same rare streak of kindness and helpfulness to other players that you all have reminded me of. Everyone in the syndicate should be proud to have ya as their leader, as I know I am :)

I'm an active member of theKindred, and I thought I'd try to spread my wings a bit and try another LS. I bumped into Methylos in the Bastok Metalworks and we began to talk. I joined the LS, and I stuck around for about two weeks.

Methylosyndicate was not for me, I found it difficult to find a social niche I could fill and also, being only a 50 PLD, I can't contriubute a lot.

However, in my two weeks in the shell, the majority of the shell was nothing short of one hundred percent kind and fair. They were friendly and, by my standards, plain, old, good people. While I found out quickly that the Methylosyndicate was not for me, I believe the shell and its leader, Methylos, are completely worthy of the awesome reputation they've built on Valefor.

Not to mention, OP, it's just not nice to run around in public attacking people.
