Actually, at the core of it, Jesus spoke against the organized religion of the time.
But doesn't this mean that jesus was a man made idea? Or are you saying that the Man Jesus created this religion(the ones who believe in christ)?
To be honest with you I have a real hard time believing in jesus, I've never been good at leaps of faith. I need something to be proven to me.
Now, this doesn't mean I'm a non believer. I happen to think the universe and all the details are just to perfect to be random.
My older brother is Atheist(my younger bro is rastafarian for the weed >.>), we argue all the time about religion. He is adamantly against the belief of god, he's very into science and technology so he also needs proof, i.e. hes a Skeptic.
Basically I'm torn, I wanna believe theres something after we die, someone or thing watching us and caring what we do, but its hard to accept with no proof except the bible. The bible is a topic for another post though, too much to talk about.

That's the essence of religion. Unfortunately it doesnt need to be that way but mankind will always fight on what means what and the like.
The problem with religion is religion itself, people identify themselves with thier religion and thats bad. Thats why we have division and wars, people think thier right and the others are wrong. I get mad when people talk about thier beliefs because I don't see how they can think they're right when they have no proof. Oh and any religion that looks down on gays/women or other religions I have no respect for.
I hope you don't take this as insulting or trying to flame you for your beliefs, I like to talk about serious things and religion is probably the most important topic in the world.
Oh and don't mind georgis, He's a good guy just alittle crazy. Right Geo? Edited, May 31st 2007 4:05am by Dudebro
