Hello Titan,
I'm setting up a static to xp 70 >> 75.
Currently have Brd, Whm (me), Nin, Thf. Looking for War70-71 and Blm 70-71. Please /t me in game or post here if you have any interest.
Sunday-Thursday 10:00 pm central

I guess I missed out on this one...at a time when I have plenty to spend in an xp pt too, darn...well, anyone ot there looking to start one, I'm 1/2 to DRG71, and badly want to find a static to get to 75.

nin is good tank, and does a good amount of damage, pld is good tank, but has like no damage what so ever, the spirit within every 4th fight doesn't count...

This isn't an attempt to start a NIN v. PLD flame war but your statment is pretty closeminded...

Obvioulsy you havent XPd with too many PLDs using a Joyeuse. Starting at 0 TP I always build TP fast enough to WS at least once per fight, occasionally twice if the melee mess up SC for some reason. My regular hits range from 20-35 occasionally 40s and I can crit for as much as 70. WS typically range from about 80 all the way up to 200+. A PLD with a Joyeuse and haste cast on him is pretty close to hundred fists @ 20-30 damage per it. Thats a pretty large chunk of damage to a mob. Also thats pretty good DPS and TP gain especially for an Elvaan, and especially with the only Melee Stat bonuses coming from a Warwolf belt and everything else being HP/DEF/VIT/Shield/AGI.

On top of this thow on the fact that you have excellet hate control and the ability to snap hate back should you lose it.

Sounds like pretty good damage output from a tank to me.

Also one could argue "yea but how many PLD actually have a Joyeuse?" Well this is true getting one is a task in itself, however, these days it is rather common to see PLDs running around with them.

Note: im not trying to toot my own horn here, Joyeuse alone improves any PLD's performance considerably.

burst damage. If your pld can make an extra SC while not hindering tanking abilities, then I say get that second sc going. A darkness sc can do wonders if u have a dark in your pt for either drain or aspir. It's all about the pt set-up, imo.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread. GL with static. I wish i had a job in that lvl range.

I have a 70 BST T_T/ I can do pretty well. I was in a pt with 2 wars and I compared very well to them T_T/ Better than one, averaging around the same as the other T_T

but, my times are too screwy to be in a static probably. Which is why I'm doing bst now anyways ;3

yea i've never used /war and i 've always done great with /thf or /nin.
anyway this is a personal choice for easier selfhate control.
